OL”. The first president of the unit was Mr. SANKARAN, the then Deputy Commissioner of Corporation of Madras. Under his great leadership the unit moved to a great level in the school. The Golden jubilee of the unit was celebrated in the year 1995, Rev Fr. CEDRIC A. BOUT sdb inaugurated the celebration. In the year 1996 Rev. SEAN McFERRAN, sdb consented to be the chief guest for the valedictory function. This was under the leadership of the then President Mr. SAMPATH KUMAR S. Following the Golden Jubilee, we celebrated the Diamond Jubilee function in the year 2005 Rt. Rev. Dr. CHINNAPPA SDB, DD, Ph.d., Arch-Bishop of Madras – Mylapore, a past pupil of our school was invited as Chief Guest of our 60th Annual General body meeting and the Diamond Jubilee celebration. This celebration was also under the leadership of the then President Mr. SAMPATH KUMAR S and Convener C K LOGADOSS. Following the Diamond Jubilee, we celebrated the Platinum Jubilee celebration in the year 2020. This celebration was under the leadership of the then President Mr. SARAVANAN S and Acting President Mr. SAMPATH KUMAR S and Convener J SATISH. WORLD LEVEL:
On 2nd April 2022 the World Confederation Presidency elected Mr. J SATISH from our unit as the Councilor of Communication. He was the first member who reach to the world level from our unit. NATIONAL LEVEL:
Mr. VINCENT SIMON our unit Senior member was the first National Secretary of the DON BOSCO PAST PUPILS INDIAN NATIONAL FEDERATION. Later he was selected as National President and developed the Indian National Federation of DON BOSCO PAST PUPILS. In the year 2015 Mr. J SATISH from our unit was elected as the National Secretary, later in the year 2019 Mr. J SATISH elected as Executive Committee Member, following it in the year 2023 Mr. J SATISH elected as National President and serving his service since now. PROVINCE LEVEL:
On 5th January 1969 The Chennai Provincial Federation of Don Bosco Past Pupils was formed. Mr. C. RATNASAMY and Mr. DEENADAYLU from our unit were elected as the First Vice President and Treasurer of the first Provincial Committee respectively. Later Mr. SAMPATH KUMAR from our unit was elected and served as the Treasurer and then as Vice President also. In the year 2009 Mr. J SATISH from our unit was elected as Vice President GEX, later in the year 2010 Mr. J SATISH elected as Province Secretary, following it in the year 2013 Mr. J SATISH elected as Province President and served till 2023.
