Velammal IIC is very proud and Happy to announce that our IIC Students won 2nd and 3rd prize in MEDTECH HACKATHON organised by CRESCENT INNOVATION AND INCUBATION CENTRE (CIIC). Our students received 2nd and 3rd prize from *Honarable Minister of Information Technology Thiru. Mano Thangaraj* with other Dignitaries Mr. JEET VIJAY(CEO, MEITY STARTUP HUB),CRESCENT CHAIRMAN and IAS officers....

Today an event on "My Journey - Story of a Successful Entrepreneurs" Was held by Mohan K : CEO and Co-Founder of Ippopay.

In the event the guest addressed about is journey to become an Entrepreneur, he spoke about his failures, experience and the strategies to become a successful Entrepreneur. The CEO also interacted with students and gave suggestions for their startup ideas.

It was a very great and a wonderful session to get to know about his experience and learn the strategies to become successful.

As a part of IIC celebration event, today in Our college we celebrated women's day

We organized an event "Fueling Entrepreneurship with Cloud Technology" Held by Mr. V Gilbert Franklin - Associate Director - Data & Analytics, Concentrix, Chennai

The event opened up the various advantage and importance of having Cloud in Business. And it also gave us Idea on how Start ups can make use of Cloud to enhance the infrastructure and to work more efficiently.

It was a great session to know how to merge Cloud Technology with Entrepreneurship.

Today in IIC we organized an event on "Unlocking the power of AI and Robotics for Startups" was held by a RAI Maven Mr. Ramaiah Chidambaram, A Roboticist, Head of Industry 4.o and IT expert and has expertise in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence and Bionics. From Crescent Innovation and Incubation centre(CIIC)

The event unlocked multiple technologies and the tools that are supporting it. The event gave the road map for every particular domain and the industry expectations from the upcoming youths.
The event gave idea about the Technology based opportunities to get into the field of Entrepreneurship.

This event was very informative and thought - provoking session.

Today an event on "Navigating The Future Of Business : An Entrepreneur's Guide On Modern Technologies" Was held by an expert with more than 25 years of experience in the field Mr. M Murali Sundaram - Distinguished Technologist, Techpreneur, Ideator, Adjunct Professor, VIT, Chennai.

This event covered up the emerging technologies and their significant impact on multiple industries and human lifestyle. The event opened up the various opportunities that today's youngster have, to get into the field of Entrepreneurship.

This event was a thought - provoking and knowledge gaining session on the emerging technologies and Entrepreneurship.

"Venturing Into The Metaverse : Harnessing Entrepreneurial Opportunities In The Future" was organised by the Department of information technology which was held by an expert in the field of Metaverse Dr. R. Rajkumar - Faculty - DSBS - School of Computing - SRMIST - Cofounder - Brainwaves Neurorehab solutions .

The Event gave us a detailed idea on how Metaverse could be brought into and its significant impact on Entrepreneurship. The event got us aware about the opportunities and the possible ways of bringing Metaverse into the field of Entrepreneurship. Many real time examples on how Metaverse can play a major role and also the challenges that should be addressed before Metaverse becomes reality were also discussed.

The event was a thought- provoking and a knowledge gaining session on Metaverse.

Two days workshop on BIG DATA PROCESSING IN CLOUD USING GCP SERVICES held on 28.10.22 and 29.01.22 completed in a successful way.Students participated gained more knowledge about hands on experience in GCP SERVICES.The trainers were motivating and made the students attentive for the whole session.The resource persons trained the students about CLOUD STORAGE,CLOUD FUNCTION,DATAPROC.The trainers concentrated on every individual to practice the services lively by deploying data and processing them and rectified the mistakes they made.It was very engaging and productive session with them

Our IIC students visited Crescent Innovation and Incubation centre (CIIC) on 19-11-2022 and participated in MedHackathon and pitched their startup idea.They explored the incubation centre with the CIIC members .They gained a lot of experience and knowledge from this experience.The problem statement provided by the CIIC was solved and many solutions were presented at the last and final round of MED HACKATHON conducted by Crescent Innovation and Incubation centre (CIIC) on 19-11-2022

Startup Mania 7.0 was organised by Confederation of Indian Industry and Young Indians in association with StartupTN (Erode regional hub), NativeLead, TBI-KEC.Out of all the students registered from the team IIC , Three teams got shortlisted for the Online Prelims Presentation under "startup mania-student" category which is conducted on 12-11-2022. One of these three team was shortlisted for the Bootcamp and finals. Congratulations team for the future progress.

Our IIC students completed their 1st round of the MedTech Hackathon organized by Crescent Incubation and Innovation Council Centre for Life sciences . Our students presented more than ten solutions for the problem statement provided by the team . The students presented their problem statement and answered the queries of the Crescent team .
