The Post Graduate and Research Department of Economics, Shift 1 and Department of Economics Shift II organized a lecture on “ Dimensions of Tamil Nadu’s Budget 2021-22”, Tuesday, 31st August 2021 at 03:00 pm. Dr P. Anbalagan, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, Presidency College delivered this lecture.
The resource person, Dr P. Anbalagan in his lecture highlighted the importance of budget, preparation methodology, difference between interim budget and a normal budget, sector wise allocation, etc., He also compared the budget allocation with the data of the last two years (2019-20 & 2020-21) to give a glimpse of this sector. He covered varied fields. To quote a few Agriculture, Industry, Education, Health, Social welfare, Urban and Rural Development, Infrastructure etc., He also narrated the recent policies of the government during this assembly session. His lecture was followed by a question and answer session.
