Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College proudly hosted the "Champions of Change" initiative by Disha Bharat, centered on the inspiring theme "Women in Combat." The event celebrated the courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment of women serving the nation while encouraging students to embrace discipline, leadership, and a spirit of service.

We were honoured to welcome Col. R. Arun as the Chief Guest, along with Mr. Srihari and Mr. Ravi from Disha Bharat, in the esteemed presence of our Principal, Dr. S. V. Saravanan.

Addressing the gathering, Col. R. Arun shared inspiring insights on the evolving role of women in the armed forces, highlighting their strength, determination, and dedication to the nation. He encouraged students to pursue their goals with confidence, purpose, and integrity, reminding them that true leadership is built on courage, responsibility, and service.

We are thrilled to announce a major research milestone at Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College! The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR-HRDG), Government of India, has approved a ₹25 Lakh research project grant for our Department of Civil Engineering.

Project Title: The Study of Dredged Marine Sediments: An Alternative to River Sand for Construction Applications

Principal Investigator: Prof. R. Arivazhagan

In Collaboration With: CSIR – Structural Engineering Research Centre (SERC), Chennai

This initiative aims to drive innovation in eco-friendly building materials by exploring marine sediments as a viable, sustainable alternative to river sand.

Meet Bakthanandini Sundar, an MSEC alumna from the 2016–2020 Computer Science & Engineering batch, who is currently making an impact as a Senior Data Engineer at Tenor Technologies.

Her journey is a testament to how learning extends far beyond the classroom. From embracing leadership opportunities and developing new skills to building confidence for the corporate world, every experience at MSEC played a role in shaping the professional she is today.
