Young Voices for a Better Tomorrow 🌍✍️

At The NEST School, we nurture our learners to become confident writers with a voice of their own while building a strong sense of community consciousness πŸ’‘πŸ’š

Our Grade 3 learners beautifully combined poetic devices and rhyme schemes with the Sustainable Development Goals to create thoughtful poems that reflect creativity, awareness, and responsibility for the world around them πŸŒ±πŸ“šβœ¨

Celebrating Young Innovation 🌱✨

We are proud to share that our young innovators were recognised and appreciated by the dignitaries at the Startup Summit 2026 held at Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College for their innovative ideas and creations that reflected creativity, problem-solving, and sustainable thinking β™»οΈπŸŒ

At The NEST School, a part of the Meenakshi Sundararajan Group of Institutions, we believe in nurturing creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship from a young age by providing meaningful platforms for our learners to showcase and be recognised for their talents πŸŒŸπŸ’‘

Students explored the beauty of nature 🌿 through creative poetry writing ✍️, thoughtfully incorporating literary devices such as simile, alliteration, and onomatopoeia to make their poems more vivid and expressive βœ¨πŸ“–

They also experimented with rhyme schemes 🎢, developing an understanding of rhythm and flow in poetry. This learning experience extended beyond the classroom 🌍 as students participated in a campaign, connecting their poetic ideas to real-world action by expressing awareness and appreciation for nature πŸŒ±πŸ’š

The integration of creative expression and meaningful action helped deepen their understanding and encouraged them to become more responsible and reflective individuals 🌟

Growing with Confidence, Learning with Purpose

β€œAt The NEST School, we have witnessed remarkable growth in our child’s confidence, understanding, and overall development through the IB approach to learning. The school’s commitment to truly upholding the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate β€” nurturing curious, reflective, and compassionate learners β€” is truly commendable.”

Our learners explored storytelling through a creative inquiry by designing their own comic strips using a sequence of images. They organised their ideas, expressed their thinking through visuals, and confidently presented their stories to peers.

A wonderful way to build communication, creativity, and confidence! πŸ’¬πŸŽ¨

✨ Learning Ordinal Numbers Made Fun! ✨
Our learners explored ordinal numbers through an engaging mix of storytelling, interactive sessions, and hands-on activities. πŸ“šπŸŽ²
One highlight was the β€œMystery Box” Sequence Activity 🎁
A box filled with fun objects like a spoon, rubber duck, hat, book, and ball kept everyone curious and excited!
As each item was placed inside one by one, learners carefully observed and then took turns recalling the order using flash cards:
πŸ—£οΈ β€œThe duck goes in 1st! The hat goes in 2nd!”
To make it even more interactive, we challenged them with questions like:
❓ β€œWhat did I put in 3rd?”
Learners also arranged themselves in the correct sequence while holding flash cards, bringing the concept to life through movement and teamwork. πŸ™Œ
πŸ’‘ Through storytelling, visual aids, and playful activities, learners built a strong understanding of ordinal numbers in a fun and memorable way!

Our Grade 6 learners began their mathematics session with a quick online quiz πŸ’»πŸ§  to refresh their understanding of different types of angles. This exciting start helped assess their prior knowledge while keeping the energy high in the classroom. ⚑
But the learning didn’t stop there! Instead of using only notebooks, students explored angles using an online protractor tool πŸ”πŸ“. They actively measured and marked angles, discovering when to use the inner and outer scales while learning through exploration and practice.
This tech-integrated, hands-on approach πŸ’‘πŸ“² transformed a simple geometry lesson into an interactive learning experience where every learner participated, experimented, and built conceptual clarity.
From identifying angles to measuring them with confidence, our learners experienced mathematics in a way that was dynamic, collaborative, and meaningful. πŸ€πŸ“
Because in our classroom, mathematics is not just taught β€” it is experienced. βœ¨πŸ“š

πŸ“šβœ¨ Learning Beyond Books – Nurturing Care for Nature! ✨🌿

At our school, learning comes alive through meaningful experiencesβ€”and our Grade 2 learners beautifully showcased this through their Bird Feeder Activity as part of the Unit of Inquiry Where We Are in Place and Time. πŸ¦πŸ’›

With creativity and care, our young learners designed and created bird feeders using simple materials, understanding how humans can support and coexist with nature. 🌾🏑

This hands-on activity helped them explore the importance of kindness towards living beings and their role in protecting the environment. Watching birds visit their feeders brought immense joy and a sense of responsibility among the children. 🐀✨

As they shared their ideas and experiences, learners also built confidence and communication skillsβ€”becoming thoughtful and compassionate global citizens. πŸŒπŸ‘

Because true learning is not just about knowingβ€”it’s about caring, connecting, and taking action! πŸ’‘πŸ’š
