Parents and Coaches Two Pillars of Every Champion

A coach teaches skills, discipline, and perseverance on the mat.
A parent gives love, support, and strength beyond it.

The coach pushes the athlete to give their best.
The parent reminds them that they’re already enough.

When both work together guidance and care unite a true champion is born.

To all the parents who cheer from the sidelines and the coaches who guide every kick and step, thank you for shaping not just athletes, but good people.

"Discipline in every stance, power in every strike — Karate is not just a sport, it’s a way of life."

Being a black belt and earning a black belt are two entirely different things. It is a milestone for many as fewer than 5% of a given class will make it to this rank for one reason or another. For others it is a goal and nothing more...

Earning a black belt is a major accomplishment for any martial artist. It represents years of hard work, dedication, and discipline. However, earning a black belt is just the beginning. Being a black belt requires ongoing commitment and responsibility.

Earning a black belt involves passing a series of tests that demonstrate proficiency in the techniques, forms, sparring, and self-defense of a particular martial art. The requirements for earning a black belt vary from one martial art to another, but they typically involve several years of training and practice.

Being a black belt means more than just having a high level of skill in martial arts. It also means upholding the values and principles of the martial art and in daily life, such as respect, discipline, and self-control. Black belts are also expected to be role models for other students and to help them learn and grow....

It is important for black belts to continue training even after they have earned their black belt. This is because martial arts is a lifelong journey, and skills can deteriorate if they are not regularly practiced. Continued training also helps to develop muscle memory and neural pathways that become more efficient and effective with practice.

The "use it or lose it" principle is a reminder that regular practice and training are crucial to maintaining and improving one's skills in martial arts, as well as in other areas of life. If you want to continue to progress in martial arts and perform at your best, it is important to prioritize regular training and practice.

If you are doing martial arts just to get a black belt, you are missing the point and will likely fail in your attempt. The belt is a reminder of the tremendous growth you’ve made while training in your art – becoming fit, learning technique, gaining confidence, becoming disciplined, showing respect, overcoming mental and physical challenges – all important life skills that make you into a better person.....🥋🫢

Always respect the one who taught you your first steps!
Because when you want to see, you meet another instructor who is "better" than your Sensei, but in truth he is not! What happens is that you changed your goals, your priorities and now you need another type of instructor!
But always respect the one who taught you your first steps in Martial Arts.
When you met your Sensei, it seemed like he was your hero, a boss, a guy who knew everything... Haha, that's how you saw him, you idolized him, your expectations of him were very high, you forgot that he is a simple mortal, with defects and virtues, a normal guy who fights like you!!!
Then time passes, you evolve, you grow, you improve and the differences between teacher and student are shortened and you think that the "teacher" is not so good anymore... and that's okay... you look for another one and you find him!!!
Now always respect your first Sensei because he taught you to walk in martial arts.
Don't forget everything he put up with from you, your failure to pay his fees (well, but for the dance and your nice clothes, you didn't lack them), your snubs when you didn't feel like training, your forgetfulness to fulfill your support to the Dojo, your continuous lack of respect pretending not to notice... Your demotivating phrases having a high degree and thus making the newer students frustrated...
Now you go with a new instructor, who charges in dollars, who doesn't return your messages, who charges even for the air you breathe with him, who frustrates you with his phrases of an outclassed coach, who leaves you stranded without telling you that he doesn't come to give you the class... "But this guy knows" is the phrase you say to yourself hahaha...
When the student is ready, the teacher appears and just like that you find what you deserve.
Now always respect your first instructor because he is the one who never failed you... remember and don't lie to yourself!

These stories are repeated in all the Dojos....
Who says I?
Martial arts are for everyone, but not everyone is for martial arts!

Sincerely M. Benjamin Ronald Robinson
Shihan 6 Dan Karate , but with the rank I don't eat or pay the bills, I pay with the remuneration for my services.
