ഒരു തോട് പുനര്‍ജനിക്കുന്നു

കാല്‍നൂറ്റാണ്ട് കാലം നീരോഴുക്കില്ലാതെ പാഴായിക്കിടന്ന ആലുക്കതോപ്പ് മുട്ടിക്കല്‍ തോടിന് ജീവന്‍ വെയ്ക്കുന്നു. പുത്തൂര്‍-തൃക്കൂര്‍ പഞ്ചായത്തുകളില്‍പ്പെട്ട മൂന്നര കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ വരുന്ന തോടാണ് ജനകീയ പങ്കാളിത്തത്തോടെ പുനരുജ്ജീവിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. തൃശ്ശൂര്‍ മൈനര്‍ ഇറിഗേഷന്‍ വകുപ്പിനു കീഴില്‍പ്പെട്ട ഈ തോട് ഒരു നീര്‍ച്ചാലുപോലെ ചുരുങ്ങി കാടും പടലും വ്യാപിച്ച് ഉപയോഗശൂന്യമായി കാലങ്ങളായി കിടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
