SRM College of Agricultural Sciences conducted a one-day Hackathon 2025 program, “Tech-Titans” on 28/11/2025. Around 20 schools participated in the Hackathon from various CBSE and State Board with a total of 165 teams with 486 students from various areas in and around Chengalpattu, Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai Districts. The program was inaugurated by Dr. M. Jawaharlal, Dean of SRMCAS . All the models exhibited by the students were evaluated and cash prizes, certificates and mementos were distributed. The event turned out to be an excellent platform for students to explore their talents, collaborate with peers, and gain exposure to innovation-driven education.

The Department of Entomology, SRM College of Agricultural Sciences, organized the National Conference on Bivoltine Cocoon Production Technology on 19 November 2025 at the Seminar Hall. The programme served as a dynamic platform for sharing recent advancements in bivoltine cocoon production. The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation from scientists of the Central Silk Board, TNAU faculty members, ICAR researchers, state officials, students, and industry representatives. The event was presided over by Dr. M. Jawaharlal, Dean, SRM CAS.
