The Department of Civil Engineering successfully organized an Educational Field Visit to Chankapur Dam, Kalwan for Third Year Civil Engineering (TYCE) students under the subject Water Resources Engineering (315314).
▪️Visit Location: Chankapur Dam, Kalwan
▪️Purpose of the Visit: The visit was organized as part of the Water Resources Engineering (315314)
Curriculum to provide students with practical exposure to various components and functions of a dam and water resources project.
▪️During the visit, students were guided to:
1. Study the major components and structural features of Chankapur Dam.
2. Understand the principles and functioning of dams and reservoirs.
3. Observe water storage, spillway, outlets, and other hydraulic structures.
