Democracy in Action: House Council Polling Day at The Hazelmoon School

Today marked a significant milestone at The Hazelmoon School as students actively participated in the House Council Elections . The initiative aimed to instill democratic values and foster a spirit of leadership, responsibility, and civic participation among the students.

In the days leading up to the elections, nominees engaged in two days of enthusiastic campaigning, where they presented their visions, addressed fellow students, and shared their plans for the betterment of their respective houses. The campaigning period was marked by healthy competition, creativity, and student-driven leadership.

On Polling Day, students from Grades VI to XII cast their votes with great enthusiasm and sincerity. Using official voting slips, they made informed choices and selected their preferred representatives — experiencing the true essence of a free and fair election.

The election process not only highlighted the democratic spirit within the school but also gave students a valuable hands-on experience of how leadership is chosen through participation and integrity.

Exciting Day of Sportsmanship: Inter-School Cricket Tournament at The Hazelmoon School

Today was truly a day filled with excitement and high energy as The Hazelmoon School hosted an Inter-School Cricket Tournament with Maritta Public School, Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh . The friendly yet competitive match was organized for students of Grades VI to IX and comprised 15 overs per side.

The Hazelmoon School won the toss and elected to bat first, setting the stage for a spirited contest. Both teams showcased impressive skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the match.

Despite a strong performance from our players, it was Maritta Public School who emerged victorious, claiming the winner’s trophy and applause from all present.

The tournament served as a wonderful platform for young athletes to demonstrate their passion for cricket while promoting camaraderie and healthy competition between schools

The Hazelmoon School came alive with enthusiasm and high energy as the much-awaited Inter-House Badminton Competition for boys was held in the school premises. The event saw active participation from students across two categories — Grades VI–VIII (Junior) and Grades IX–XII (Senior ) — who displayed commendable skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the matches.

In the junior category (VI–VIII), it was Sapphire House that emerged victorious with a stellar performance. Citrine House followed closely to secure the second place, while Carnelian House finished in third place with a strong effort.

The senior category (IX–XII) witnessed intense matches and impressive rallies. Citrine House claimed the top spot, demonstrating excellent coordination, agility, and strategy. Sapphire House earned the second place , and Emerald House secured a well-deserved third position.

The competition was not just about winning — it was a celebration of athletic spirit, discipline, and inter-house camaraderie.

A delightful Role Play Activity was organized for the students of Grades I and II at The Hazelmoon School, where the young learners paid heartfelt tribute to the real heroes of our society — our community helpers.

Dressed as police officers, doctors, dentists, nurses, firefighters, and teachers, the students confidently stepped into the shoes of these everyday heroes . Through their thoughtful performances, they shed light on the important roles these professionals play in making our lives safer, healthier, and more comfortable.

Their charming enactments not only reflected creativity and understanding but also instilled a deep sense of respect for those who serve our communities selflessly. It was a wonderful way to nurture empathy and awareness among the young minds.

An exciting and colorful Fruit Market was organized for the Kindergarten students at The Hazelmoon School, turning the school premises into a lively space buzzing with learning and joy .

The little ones took on the roles of fruit vendors and buyers, enthusiastically participating in buying and selling a variety of fresh fruits. The activity was designed to help children learn about different fruits, their colors, names, and health benefits in a fun, interactive manner.

From counting money to naming fruits and understanding their nutritional value, the young learners enjoyed every moment while strengthening important Language, Math, and Social skills . The event not only promoted healthy eating habits but also gave students a real-life experience of a bustling marketplace.

The Hazelmoon School Brims with Excitement at the Inter-House Badminton Competition !

The Hazelmoon School was filled with excitement and energy as the Inter-House Badminton Competition for girls in categories VI–VIII and IX–XII was held on the school premises. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talent, agility, and sportsmanship on the court.

In the junior category (VI–VIII), Emerald House secured the first position with an outstanding performance, followed by Sapphire House in the second place , and Citrine House claiming the third position.

In the senior category (IX–XII), Sapphire House took the lead, demonstrating excellent coordination and strategy. Carnelian House followed in second place, while Citrine House earned a well-deserved third place.

World Labour Day Celebration!

On the occasion of World Labour Day, a special morning assembly was organized at The Hazelmoon School to recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions of those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make our lives easier, safer, and more comfortable.

Students delivered heartfelt speeches and gratitude-filled thoughts, expressing deep respect and appreciation for every individual—especially our support staff—who plays a vital role in the smooth functioning of the school.

As a touching gesture, the students of various grades prepared beautiful handmade gratitude cards, which were respectfully presented to the school’s support staff. These tokens of appreciation were offered with love, kindness, and humility, creating a moving and memorable moment of unity and respect.

The event served as a gentle reminder of the dignity of labor and the importance of acknowledging those whose efforts often go unnoticed, yet are essential to our daily lives.
