Math Pirates is back with their flagship event, in association with Department of Applies Science. First round of Ganit Erreur is scheduled on 11th March 2019 with the following ruleset:-
1. The paper will consist of 25 questions based on aptitude and general mental ability. There will be no use of complex formulas
2. Students will participate in a team of two. Time duration is 20 minutes.
3. There will be negative marking for every incorrect answer.
4. Top 4 teams will qualify for the next round for which the date will be announced.
Winning prize:
1st prize: ₹3000
2nd prize: ₹2000
3rd prize: ₹1000

Math Pirates organized the event Bingo with a twist. Students participated in a great number and the outcome was all about luck, calculations and presence of mind.

Math Pirates, in collaboration with Department of Applied Science, Chitkara University Himachal Pradesh is organizing a workshop on Vedic Mathematics to enlighten students about various shortcut techniques and the scope of Vedic Mathematics.

Ahoy- The Treasure Hunt by Math Pirates is back. The event will consist of two rounds:-
1. Qualifier:- A simple and funny trivia quiz. Qualifying teams will proceed to the decider.
2. Treasure Hunt:- Students will have to wander all around the campus in search of clues and reach the final destination in order to emerge as the top Pirate!
Students are supposed to participate in a team of 3.
Entry fee for members= ₹20
Non members= ₹40

Math Pirates organized their first annual event "Minute to win it" on 20th Sept 2018, emphasizing the importance of spurring a continuum of learning.
The duo were asked to push the maximum number of cups with the wrong equations scribbled within a minute. The twist being; they had to blow using balloons.
The qualified teams were then asked to build a pyramid using the balloons itself within the shortest time possible.
It was indeed a personalized and engaging experience for our Pirates!

The Pirates are back in business and this time it's even better!
We commence the session with our first annual event "'Minute to Win it". As the name suggests, it is an amalgamation of fun activities with a technical twist to be completed within a minute.
Students are supposed to participate in a due. Cash prizes for first two positions!

On the occasion of "Pi Day", Math Pirates Club organized the Final round of the event "Ganit Erreur 18” - Mathematical Quiz in collaboration with the Maths Department. The first round of the event was held on 6th Feb 2018, where 4 teams qualified out of about 100 participants. The final round was a component of competence to solve questions that were related to mathematical fallacies, general aptitude and questions based on pi.
We would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the respected teachers, HODs and Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Varinder S.Kanwar for gracing the event with their zealous presence. This certainly enhanced the morale of the students which was evident by the audience participation.

Aptitude is basically defined as an innate, learned or acquired ability of an individual to perform certain tasks.
Math Pirates, in cooperation with Department of Applied Science conducted the 1st round of Ganit Erruer on 19th Feb'18 where students were supposed to solve 20 questions based on aptitude and mathematical fallacies. It was indeed an amazing experience to see students indulge in problem solving.

Technology may open new worlds to learners but does not by itself, inspire critical or creative thinking.
Math Pirates organized the event HuntMania on 6th Feb 2018, emphasizing the importance of spurring a continuum of learning with a focus on collaboration and creative problem solving. 8 teams qualified from the first round consisting of a math based crossword, which was followed up by the decider, i.e Treasure Hunt. The teams solved their respective clues.
It was indeed a personalized and engaging experience for our Pirates! Congratulations to all our winners and participants.
