Young Digvijay Shines at Judo Championship

Digvijay, a student of class VIII of Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education brought laurels to school by clinching three gold medals in Inter-school Judo Tournament held at Sports Complex, sec 34 organized by Department of Education, Chandigarh. He won gold medals in -45kg weight category.

SAGE FOR THE AGE: REMEMBERING SRI AUROBINDO ON HIS 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY

To commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sri Aurobindo, a special event was organized by Sri Aurobindo Society, Chandigarh, Haryana and Punjab on December 9, 2022 at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Public Administration, Sector 26, Chandigarh. The theme of the event was ‘Applied Spirituality’. Shri. Banwari Lal Purohit, the hon’ble Governor of Punjab & Administration, U.T. Chandigrah graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Dignitaries from Sri Aurobindo Society, Mr Pradeep Narang, Mr K. Pawan along with Chairman of Sri Aurobindo School of integral Education, Mr Arvind Mehan and the Principal, Ms. Garima S Bhardwaj welcomed the esteemed chief guest and other distinguished guests.The event commenced with mesmerizing Bhajan Gayan by Pandit Shantanu Bhattacharya, the President Award Winning Vocalist. It was followed by a beautiful drama presentation ' Harimohan ka Sapna' by Masoom Art Group from Ranchi. It was based on the story written by Sri Aurobindo.
Sri Aurobindo Society (SAS) along with Chandigarh Education Department in collaboration adopted 35 government schools along with Sri Aurobindo School to make teaching and learning get rid of traditional practice and adapt techniques of facing real world.
While addressing the audience, the hon'ble Governor, Shri Banwari Lal Purohit emphasized on application of spirituality in life and grow in the light of spirit.

EDUCATIONAL TOUR : REALTIME EXPOSURE & LEARNING
Memories of school trips are among the most prominent of the formative years, largely because they are a welcome break in the routine for both students and teachers. While the purpose of these trips is essentially to educate, they can also be a fun bonding experience for everyone involved. Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education planned a school trip for classes IV to X to Science City - Kapurthala. While flagging off this expedition, Principal, Mrs. Garima S Bhardwaj said that it is very important to engage and involve students in activities which fan their curiosity. This educational tour provided them more knowledge about science. Along with studies these trips are also important which turn to be gainful for the students. Almost every branch of science was exhibited in the Pushpa Gujral Science City, right from physical, applied, natural and social sciences, engineering, technology, agriculture, health sciences, energy, industries, human evolution and civilization, the environment, ecosystems and Jurassic park. The students visited the fun science gallery, space and aviation gallery, amazing living machines gallery, sports gallery, energy park, virtual reality gallery, cyber space gallery and got the related presentations. They were amazed to see the real life experiences of science. They also enjoyed watching the visually stunning 3-D shows, laser show and a special show, "Back to the Moon", in the dome-shaped theatre. The children then went to the 'climate change zone' where they learnt about the climatic changes and the required precautionary measures to be taken. The students were then served with scrumptious food. It was an informative and enjoyable visit to Science City.
