Under the aegis of the Founders and Directors Dr. Earnest Charles J. Samuel and Dr. Annie Charles Samuel alongwith the Principal Dr. Parveena John Singh, Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, observed World Malaria Day with a series of awareness activities aimed at educating students about the prevention and control of Malaria.
The programme began with the administration of a pledge, where students and staff collectively reaffirmed their commitment to spreading awareness and taking preventive measures against Malaria.
To further enhance understanding, an informative session was conducted by the school Doctor, who addressed students and explained the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of malaria in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
In addition, a quiz competition was organized to assess and reinforce students’ knowledge about malaria and its prevention. The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation and helped in promoting awareness in an interactive way.
Principal Dr. Parveena John Singh emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating that awareness and education are key tools in the fight against malaria. She encouraged students to adopt healthy practices, maintain cleanliness in their surroundings, and spread awareness among their families and communities to help eliminate the disease.
Through these initiatives, the school emphasized the importance of collective efforts in combating malaria and encouraged students to act as responsible citizens in spreading awareness within their communities.

Healthy Habits, Happy Hearts 💚 | World Health Day
On the occasion of World Health Day, our little learners enthusiastically participated in a joyful Zumba session, learning the importance of staying active and fit. They were also guided about the difference between healthy food and junk food, helping them understand the value of nutritious eating habits. It was a fun-filled and meaningful learning experience that encouraged students to adopt healthy practices in their daily lives. 🌿🍎
