INS Imphal: its an the indigenously-built stealth guided missile destroyer.
Built by : Mazagaon Dock , Mumbai .
Designed by : Navy's Warship Design Bureau
Class : 3rd of Vishakhapattnam class . These are Vishakhapatanam, Surat , Marmagao and now imphal .
First warship to have been named after a city from the North-Eastern region.
Carrying :state-of-the-art weapons and sensors, including surface-to- air missiles, anti-ship missiles and torpedoes like BrahMos surface-to-surface missiles, medium range surface-to-air missiles, anti-submarine indigenous rocket launchers and 76mm super rapid gun mount.
Powered by : Combined Gas and Gas (COGAG) propulsion, the ship is capable of achieving speeds in excess of 30 knots (56 km/hour).

Germany has recently offered india for state of the art new shishumar class submarine advanced varient , equipped with lethal weaopns ,to boost the lethal capacity of Indian Navy.

India acquired these diesel operated submarines from Germany , inducted into navy , since 1982 .

The four Shishumar sub are the Shishumar, Shankush, Shalki and Shankul.

Out of these 4 , 2 were built at Kiel in Germany and remaining two at Mazagaon dock , Mumbai .

Now Navy requires new advance Subs .

Igla-S, or Igla-Super. It is an improved variant in the Igla, which entered service with Russian Army in 2004 (9K338 Igla-S or SA-24 Grinch is the latest variant of the9K38 Igla)

It is a man-portable air defence system (MANPADS) and can be launched by an individual soldier or crew to shoot down an enemy aircraft, including fighter jets.

This anti aircraft missile is created to enhance countermeasures.The easy-to-carry defence system has the potential to shoot down low-flying aircraft. Additionally, it has the capability to identify and neutralise air targets, including drones and cruise missiles.

This carries a warhead of 1.17 kg with 390 g explosive and is propelled by a solid-fuel rocket motor, the missile can attain a maximum speed of 570 m/s and hit the target at a maximum distance of 6 kilometers.

This technology caught global attention after Ukraine successfully deployed to thwart Russia’s air superiority in the ongoing war.The Indian Army had inducted several Igla-S systems under the emergency procurement route and now looking forward to procuring the defence system in large number.

Russia has signed a contract to supply the Igla-S hand-held anti-aircraft missiles to India and allow its production under licence under Atmanirbhar bharat scheme .

This great freedom fighter was born in a farmer family in Talegaon Dhamdhere on January 2, 1889 and faced hardships in completing his schooling.

Despite all odds he managed to get a degree in electronic engineering from Washington state , US

There he came into contact with Lala Hardayal, Bhai Parmanand, Dr Khangoje, Sohansingh Bhakna, Bhai Kartarsingh and Pandit Kanshiram who were responsible for founding the party , Ghadar .

He became an active member of the Gadar party, which believed in armed struggle against the British.

Party planned an armed uprising against the British while the World War I was on & he was sent yo india for that purpose . After coming to India, he started revolutionary activities in Punjab.
He maintained secret contacts with revolutionaries like Rashbihari Bose and Sachindranath Sanyal.

He used his engineering skills in making bombs for the party.An expert in different languages and a master of disguise, he spread unrest among the Indian Army against the British by secretly circulating revolutionary pamphlets & newspaper published by Gadar party.

The British arrested him from Meerut Cantonment on March 24, 1915 with the possession of 18 live bombs and explosive material. It was called Indo- German conspiracy case.

He was hanged to death along with six more revolutionaries in Lahore Central Jail on November 16, 1915.

He was born in district Ratnagiri, Bombay Presidency on 9 May 1866 and was one of the first Indians to receive an English education, graduating from Elphinston College in 1884.

He was an educator and taught English and mathematics at Fergusson College for 18 years, a politician of renown but with moderate views.

He considered Mahadev Gobind Ranaday as his political Guru and Gandhiji considered Gokhle as his political Guru.

Gokhale had ideological differences with Bal Gangadhar Tilak throughout his political career.

Founded the Servants of India Society, through which he campaigned for Indian self-rule and for social reforms. This society worked a lot during natural calamities.

He edited Sudharak and Hitvada newspapers in English.

He was elected to imperial legislative council from Bombay and gave landmark budget speeches which are still in British archives as example of best speeches in the council .

He played a leading role in bringing about Morley-Minto Reforms, the beginning of constitutional reforms in India.
He died on February 19, 1915.
