Notice
DIC under sub theme: Traffic Sensing and IT provides an opportunity to exceptionally good undergraduate students
to be part of different innovative research and development projects under the guidance of faculty/ Scientists of
participating institutes and external collaborator from industries. During internship, students will get a chance to work
on following live projects.
1. Development of IoT based Air Pollution Analysis Device 2. Acoustic sensing and Event Detection
3. Automatic Vacuum Cleaner and path Memorizer 4. Big Data Analytics
5. Location sensing using BLE sensors 6. Thermal Imaging for Pedestrian detection
7. Multi level Garden Grass Cutter 8. Web Server based data analysis in real time
9. Robotic boat based underwater sensor data analyzer
10. Acoustic sensor based Android App
11. Traffic Image Analysis and vehicle Classifier
12. Tertiary water management system
13. Activity Recognition using barometer and accelerometer sensor.
14.Natural Language Processing
About the Internship:
Duration The Internship will start from 14 Jan 2019 and it will continue till 31 May 2019.
Support The Internship will cover the following:
a. Internship of Rs. 5000/- per month.b. Temporary Lab, Internet and Library Facilities
The intern will register at DIC, Panjab University, Chandigarh as a visiting student; she/he will not be
required to pay any registration fees. The intern will be required to sign the code of ethics agreement as
proposed by the Panjab University for a period of stay at this Institute.A training certificate and
evaluation report of intern will be communicated to the respective institutes of interns.
Eligible BE / B.Tech (up to 3rd Sem onwards)are eligible to apply.
Desirable: Applicant must have knowledge of working in any of the above mentioned or
related projects.
To Apply The applicant will have to submit the following documents along with the Application form through
their institute head in the UIET Panjab university positively by 26-November-2018.: BriefResume, Photograph, Consolidated Grade Card
No Objection Certificate from the parent institution stating the starting and ending dates for carrying
out full time research work DIC, Panjab University
The selected candidates will have to produce the above original documents at the time of joining.
