🥋 Introduction
Negi Taekwondo India (officially Negi Taekwondo India Pvt. is one of the most prestigious martial arts academies in North India. Established in 1998 by Master Rajesh Singh Negi (6th Dan Black Belt), the academy has been a pioneer in promoting Taekwondo across the Tricity (Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula). In 2019, it was formally registered as Negi Taekwondo India Pvt. Ltd., continuing the same legacy with professional recognition.
👨🏫 Leadership
Founder: Master Rajesh Singh Negi – Veteran Taekwondo coach who first brought structured martial arts training to Chandigarh. General Secretary / Head Coach: Mr. Satyapal Singh Negi – A renowned national-level coach and international representative. Served as State Coach of Chandigarh (2004–2013). Trained players who won medals at National Championships. Since 2013, has successfully led teams to multiple International & WT Ranking Championships.
🌍 International Participation & Exposure
Negi Taekwondo India is the only academy in Chandigarh that consistently sends players to World Taekwondo (WT) ranking events and other international championships. Our players have proudly represented India in:
South Korea – 6 times (World Taekwondo Culture Expo, Korea Open, & other international events). Thailand – 5 times (Bangkok & Pattaya International Taekwondo Championships). Malaysia – 3 times (International Taekwondo Opens & Invitationals). United Arab Emirates (UAE) – 3 times, including the WT Ranking Event Fujairah Open International Taekwondo Championship. Canada – 1 time at the Canada Open G2 (WT Ranking Event). Japan – 1 time at the WATA Open International Taekwondo Championship 2025. Indo–Nepal International Taekwondo Championships – multiple times.
🏆 Achievements
Trained hundreds of medalists at district, state, national, and international levels. Successfully produced WT Ranking Event participants, boosting India’s recognition in global Taekwondo. Coaches from the academy are working in 57+ schools across Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Kharar, Derabassi, Kurali, Parwanoo, Banur, Rajpura, and Landran. Recognized for nurturing disciplined, skilled, and medal-winning athletes who perform with excellence in sports as well as in personal development.
