Shemrock School, Mohali hosted the Behes Mohali Tri-City Round 2026, a prestigious inter-school team debate tournament, on 16 and 17 August 2026, in collaboration with Behes. The two-day event brought together enthusiastic young debaters from schools across the Tri-City. The opening ceremony on 16 August commenced with the ceremonial Lamp Lighting, followed by a captivating Kathak performance and a warm welcome address by the Principal Ms. Prineet Sohal.
The second day witnessed the announcement of teams qualifying for the quarter-finals and semi-finals, followed by spirited debates in the Cubs and Lions categories. The grand finals were held in the school auditorium. Air Commodore Nitin Sathe (Retd.), the Chief Guest, inspired the students with his insightful address on debating, effective communication, and the importance of speaking skills. The event culminated with the Managing Director Mr. Karan Bajwa and the Chief Guest presenting medals and trophies to the best speakers, runners-up, and champion teams.
In the Cubs category, Debateoholics from Shemrock emerged Champion, comprising Lavanya Kaushal, Kavisha Khandelwal and Siddhi Seth, while Taivas 1 from Shemrock secured the Runner-up position, comprising Pahal Priyanshi, Kaira Kaushal and Gurnidhpreet Kaur Brar.
In the Lions category, Amar Akbar Anthony from St. Anne’s Convent School emerged Champion, with Naitik Singh Nagarkoti, Myra Moudgil and Aahana Gupta, while The Vocal Sapiens from Sri Aurobindo Public School Baddi were the Runner-up team, comprising Aanya Bhumbla, Dhanika Kundlas and Gopal Bansal.

On 15 August 2026, Shemrock School, Mohali, celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with immense pride, patriotic fervor, and enthusiasm. The celebration commenced with an inspiring speech by the Head Girl, followed by the National Song. The Principal, Ms. Prineet Sohal then hoisted the Tricolor with due honor and dignity, followed by the National Anthem. In her address, she highlighted the significance of freedom and urged students to uphold the values of unity, responsibility, and patriotism. The cultural program that followed featured soulful musical performances, classical dance, Zumba and Bhangra, along with a Hindi poem, English speech, and play. A poignant short film by the Shemrock Media Club portrayed the sacrifices of freedom fighters, making the celebration a memorable tribute to the spirit of India. Adding to the festive spirit, the Gourmet Club set up food stalls offering a variety of delectable treats for students, staff, and guests, making the celebration truly memorable.

Our shemrockites proudly participated in The Bhavan Communique 2026, held on 6 – 7 August 2026 at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27-B, Chandigarh. Our young delegates of class 11 showcased exceptional eloquence, diplomacy, research skills, and confidence. Shivam Godara won the Best Delegate award in AIPPM, while Sahibpreet Singh earned a Special Mention 1 in CWIC, representing Iran. Ayaanveer Kanwar, Amitoz Singh, and Kartik Sachdeva also participated with commendable enthusiasm. Their accomplishments reflect Shemrock’s commitment to nurturing articulate, informed, and globally aware young leaders.

In association with the NSCA, we successfully hosted the Shemrock Chess Tournament 2026 on Sunday, 26 July 2026. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from players representing various schools, chess academies, and clubs, competing across: Under-9, Under-13, Under-17, and Open categories. The tournament commenced with a formal opening ceremony, graced by the esteemed chief guest, Smt. Deepinder Kaur (IRS), Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax and Deputy Director of Income Tax (Investigation), Ludhiana. Addressing the participants, she emphasised the importance of patience, discipline, strategic thinking, and perseverance, highlighting how chess cultivates critical life skills and prepares young learners for future challenges. The event culminated in a grand Prize Distribution Ceremony, presided over by Ms. Prineet Sohal, Director Principal, Shemrock School. She congratulated the winners and applauded the dedication of all participants and the support extended by their parents.

CREATE X Challenge 2026 – Robotics and Game Development Championship
The Shemrockites from Classes 8 to 11 participated in the Inter-School CREATE X Challenge 2026, a Robotics and Game Development Championship organised by Saupin's School, Mohali, on 1 August 2026. The competition provided an exciting platform for young innovators to demonstrate their technical skills, creativity, and teamwork. Our students enthusiastically participated in four categories—Robo Race, Robo Fight, Tug of War, and Game Development—gaining valuable exposure and hands-on learning experience while competing alongside talented participants from various schools

SDG SUMMIT - Day 2
1 August 2026: The two-day SDGMUN 2026 at Shemrock School, Mohali, concluded on a high note with a vibrant closing ceremony celebrating the spirit of diplomacy, leadership, and sustainable development. Principal Ms. Prineet Sohal and Mr. Adarsh Kumar Singh, Founding COO of Aspirant Learning, addressed the gathering, inspiring students to become responsible global citizens. The event featured the thought-provoking classical dance "Antardwandva – The Inner Conflict," highlighting mental well-being and the essence of all 17 Sustainable Development Goals, followed by an energetic fusion dance. The Chief Guest, RJ Manav Ahhuja, motivated students with his inspiring address. The ceremony also included the felicitation of Conclave and MUN winners, an aftermovie of Shemrock SDG SUMMIT 2026, an insightful address by Mr. Priyanshu Grover, Founding President & CEO of Aspirant Learning, the Secretary-General Hargun Kaur's address, and concluded with the National Anthem, marking the successful culmination of an enriching two-day summit.

SDG SUMMIT - Day 1
31st July 2026: Shemrock School, Mohali, inaugurated the two-day SDG SUMMIT 2026, providing students with a dynamic platform to deliberate on global issues through the lens of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a soulful Saraswati Vandana. The school Principal Ms. Prineet Sohal welcomed the gathering while Mr. Priyanshu Grover, Founding President & CEO of Aspirant Learning, inspired delegates with his insightful address. The Chief Guest, Mr. Jatinder Singh, XEN, GMADA Officer, encouraged participants to embrace diplomacy, critical thinking, and collaboration, wishing them success in the sessions ahead. A captivating Sufi performance and the screening of the Shemrock MUN 2025 aftermovie added cultural richness to the inaugural day, followed by an inspiring address by Mr. Adarsh Kumar Singh, Founding COO of Aspirant Learning, setting the tone for two days of meaningful dialogue and leadership.
