What is Makar or Shishir Sankranti?
The transit of Sun from one zodiac to another is called Sankranti. The time between one Sankranti to the next Sankranti is the solar month. Although Surya Sankranti is 12, but out of these Makar/Shishir Sankranti is important. The importance of bathing in holy rivers or places of pilgrimage is more on this day. In the scriptures, Makar/Shishir Sankranti is also called Til Sankranti. Donation of sesame on this day is considered of special importance.
On the occasion of Makar/Shishir Sankranti in Kashmir, we used to put white lime and black sesame lines around our houses to protect our homes from negative energy throughout the year. Also, due to heavy snowfall in this winter month, many ghosts can take shelter in safe places, due to which it was also considered auspicious to put white lime and black sesame lines around our house.
शिशिर संक्रांति महादेव: यो दास्यति घृताग्निकम्बलम।
भुक्त्वा सकलान भोगान अन्ते मोक्षं प्राप्यति।।
Means: One who donates fire, blanket and pure ghee on the day of Shishir Sankranti becomes free from the relation of life and death, i.e. attains salvation after death.
It is believed that on the occasion of Makar/Shishir Sankranti, to save our ancestors from the severe cold of this month of Shishir, we should donate warm clothes, blankets, Kandi containing burning coal in the name of our ancestors. Donation of warm clothes on the day of Makar/Shishir Sankranti is also considered a great donation. Keep one thing in mind that these warm clothes should not be old or used and torn. Donating new warm clothes has always been considered appropriate in the scriptures.

MAHASAMADHI
What is Mahasamadhi in Kashmir Shaivism?
In Kashmir Shaivism, Mahasamadhi refers to the ultimate state of spiritual liberation and union with the divine. It is considered the highest form of attainment in this tradition.
The term "Mahasamadhi" is derived from two Sanskrit words: "Maha," meaning great, and "Samadhi," referring to a deep state of meditation or absorption. It is a profound state of consciousness where the individual soul merges with the universal consciousness, realizing its inherent divine nature.
In Kashmir Shaivism, Mahasamadhi is not seen as the end of life, but rather as a state of transcendence while still in the physical body. It is considered an enlightened departure from the mortal realm, where the individual consciously chooses to leave the body behind and merge with the absolute reality, often referred to as Shiva or Shakti.
Practitioners of Kashmir Shaivism aspire to attain Mahasamadhi through rigorous spiritual practices such as meditation, self-inquiry, mantra recitation, and the awakening of Kundalini energy. The goal is to transcend the limitations of the individual self and merge with the supreme consciousness, realizing the oneness of all existence.
Mahasamadhi is seen as a state of ultimate freedom, liberation from the cycle of birth and death, and the experience of eternal bliss and unity with the divine. It is considered the culmination of the spiritual journey in Kashmir Shaivism, representing the union of the individual soul with the supreme reality.

Ketu (South Node) and Marriage.
The 7th house is considered the house of marriage and partnerships, the position of planets in the 7th house in chart governs attraction for the opposite s*x, desire to have a partner, s*xual fantasies, commitment, passion and possessiveness.
The placement of Ketu (SN) destroys a marriage it’s a question that comes to mind, it may or may not destroy marriage. Ketu (SN) in the 7th house is an affliction and will do something unexpected or undesirable. Here we need to understand the word undesirable, as each one of us has different desires, so the conditions appearing in marital bliss may appear to be normal outside, but is quite undesirable for one of the partners.
Ketu (SN) gives many kinds of undesirability, on the good side it may give you a spouse who is overly dedicated to you, some people find it quite suffocating when one's spouse keeps on nagging about your wellbeing, health, your matters at office, about your behaviour with others etc. It may also mean more than necessary issues in married life, which keeps your kind busy. Ketu (SN) is like a focal point that focuses your mind towards spirituality, or any particular topic, here in the 7th house, it may make marital issues the focal point of all your attention.
Ketu (SN) may also mean a partner who is spiritually inclined to the point of denying you conjugal bliss. It may also mean a spouse who is sick or ill. Ketu (SN) also separates, this could be because of your jobs, transfers which will separate you from your spouse. In an extreme case, it represents divorce or even the sickness of the spouse.
So, you see, Ketu (SN) gives some kind of affliction to the 7th house even on the good side. Thus, it may or may not damage the marriage, but it definitely won't make it a normal one.
Ketu (SN) affects in 7th house.
If Ketu (SN) is in 7th house then Rahu (NN) will be in the ascendant as we know both planets always stay opposite to each other. In this planetary combination, the native vacillates between two crucial decisions; to marry or not to marry. Sometimes, he gets carried away with the thought of having a partner. Ketu (SN) intentions to pull him away from the thoughts or marriage would be against Rahu (NN) efforts to keep him hooked to a soul mate. Sometimes delay in marriage, a breakup with a fiancé and frustrations in the marital experience. Divorce is also seen if Ketu (SN) is not aspected by good planets.
If 7th placed Ketu (SN) native ties the knot with someone. In that case, the antardasha (AD) and mahadasha (MD) of Ketu (SN) can create misunderstanding and disharmony, finally resulting in a breakup of marriage during their period. But the aspects are also to be examined before arriving at any conclusion about Ketu (SN) native.
The good influence of benefice planets and the zodiac ruler of Ketu (SN) posited in benefice houses would certainly give benefice results.
Weak Ketu (SN) puts the native under undue pressure due to marital disturbances.
Other factors are also important to reach any decisions like Venus and Jupiter’s position in the chart and their strength.
Manglik dosh is also important, as this is also an important factor in matters concerning marriage. We cannot ignore Manglik dosha,
Ascendant lord and 7th lords are powerful or not. D9 chart is strong or not for marriage.
These all factors are really important to make any decisions regarding marriage.
Remedies are vital because they help balance the cosmic energies influencing our lives. Planets represent our past karma, and when they create obstacles or challenge. Remedies can enhance positive planetary influences or reduce the negative ones, providing relief and promoting well-being
It is just my general views it may differ with others and as usual with limited words, everything cannot be explained and if someone feels something missing, something wrong they all are welcome to share their opinion and correct. Important its general views it varies person to person according to their chart so always chart analysis mandatory for any conclusion. Thanks to all

(Pan Pujai Hund Chu Posht Sarni)
Namaskar Mahra to all the members of our Kashmiri Bata Baradari. Please accept my good wishes on the eve of auspicious "(PAAN DIYUN)"
"रयेथ्व मंज रयेथा, भद्र पयेथा विनायक चोरं तऽ-आथवार"
First time when "Paan Diyun" Pooja, started, it was the month of Bhadrapada Mass, Shukla paksha, Tithi Vināyak Choram and day was Athwar.
Paan literally means 'thread' in Kashmiri, but the festival of Paan is celebrated to please Ganesha-Lakshmi. It is a symbol of prosperity, auspiciousness and has great importance in Kashmiri homes.
Importance of (PAAN) thread, in Kashmiri.
In ancient and present times we Kashmiri Pandits had a unique tradition of worship a day before marriage which is called Devgon.
On the auspicious occasion of Devgon, the girl's father gives sacred "Dejhor" (Mangal) to his daughter as a blessings. After this, her in-laws tie a sacred thread or golden chain (Sutra) hanging with both the ears, which symbolize the Mangal Sutra.
I mentioned Mangal Sutra here because it is also related to thread (sutra). All of us, whether male or female, remain tied to thread throughout our life long. For example, Kashmiri Hindu men are always associated with a sutra (thread) that is "yajnopavit and ayat-paan".Similarly, our Kashmiri Hindu women are also associated with the sutras i.e. Dejhor-Aat and Ayat-Paan.
Those persons either men or women wearing all these symbolic Sutras are always in the eyes of Shiva and Shakti, who protects them from all the type of atrocities and immortality.
