Bira beer maker raises Rs 11.5 cr from 18 investors in Series C
B9 Beverages, the maker of Bira 91 brand of craft beer, has raised over ₹11.5 crore in Series C funding from 18 investors, filings accessed by Inc42 showed.
The investors who participated in the round include Vikramaditya Mohan Thapar Family Trust and Reddyvanga Ventures.
In April, B9 Beverages had raised over Rs 147 crore in a bridge round from existing backers.

India biz draining cash; reviewing investment in JV: AirAsia Group
AirAsia Group has said that it is reviewing its investment in AirAsia India, which has been "draining cash" and causing a financial stress to the group.
The airline owns 49% stake in AirAsia India, a joint venture with Tata Sons.
Earlier on Tuesday, AirAsia Japan filed for bankruptcy after announcing last month that it was ceasing operations in the country.

RBI restricts withdrawals from Mantha Urban Coop Bank for 6 months.
The Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday imposed restrictions on withdrawals from Jalna, Maharashtra-based Mantha Urban Cooperative Bank for six months.
The bank can also not grant loans or make any investments without prior approval of the RBI in writing.
RBI clarified that these directions should not be construed as cancellation of Mantha's banking licence.

Billionaire Elon Musk added $15 billion to his wealth in just two hours on Monday after his electric carmaker Tesla was named for inclusion in the S&P 500 index.
Tesla's stock surged about 14% in extended trading, lifting Musk's fortune to $117.5 billion, making him the world's third-richest person, according to Bloomberg. His wealth has jumped $90 billion this year.

Lakshmi Vilas Bank withdrawals capped at ₹25,000 till 16 December
The Centre has imposed a 30-day moratorium on Lakshmi Vilas Bank effective from Tuesday.
A withdrawal limit of ₹25,000 with certain exceptions for unforeseen expenses has been imposed for depositors.
The RBI said, "The financial position of the bank has undergone a steady decline with continuous losses over the last three years."

Govt invites bids from actuarial firms to value LIC ahead of IPO
The Ministry of Finance on Monday invited bids from actuarial firms to value Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) ahead of its IPO.
The government plans to sell its minority stake in the insurance company and launch an IPO, and it has already hired Deloitte and SBICaps as its pre-IPO transaction advisors. The last date for submission of bids is December 8.

Patanjali's net profit jumps 21.56% to ₹424.7 crore in 2019-20
Baba Ramdev-led Patanjali Ayurved reported a 21.56% increase in net profit at ₹424.72 crore for 2019-20, according to data provided by Tofler.
The company had posted a net profit of ₹349.37 crore for 2018-19. Its revenue from operations rose 5.86% to ₹9,022.71 crore as against ₹8,522.68 crore in the year-ago period while its expenses jumped 5.34% to ₹8,521 crore.

Zomato raises $195 mn at a valuation of $3.6 bn: Info Edge
Zomato has raised $195 million from six investors at a $3.6 billion valuation, Info Edge said. Luxor Capital and Kora Management invested $60 million and $50 million, respectively. Mirae Asset also participated in the round with an investment of $40 million.
Post the funding, Info Edge's shareholding in Zomato will stand reduced to 20.8% on fully converted and diluted basis.

Vodafone considering raising $4.7bn from Vantage Towers IPO
Vodafone is considering raising $4.7 billion from its European towers unit's initial public offering (IPO) in 2021, a report said.
It is planning to list Vantage Towers in the first quarter of 2021 in a deal that could value the unit at $23.6 billion, the report added. This may be the largest IPO on European exchange in over three years.
