Chhattisgarhโ€™s renowned poet, storyteller, and novelist Vinod Kumar Shukla passed away on Tuesday evening at the age of 88. Just a month earlier, he had been awarded Indiaโ€™s highest literary honour, the Jnanpith Award. ๐•๐ข๐ง๐จ๐ ๐’๐ก๐ฎ๐ค๐ฅ๐š had been unwell for the past few months and was undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Raipur.

๐…๐š๐ฆ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ: His notable works include Naukar Ki Kameez, Deewar Mein Ek Khidki Rehti Thi, Khilega To Dekhenge, and Ek Chuppi Jagah.

๐‹๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐‘๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: Vinod Kumar Shukla was awarded the 59th Jnanpith Award in 2024, Indiaโ€™s highest literary honour, for his outstanding contribution to literature.
