We are coming up with a series of success stories of our Alumni and here is the first story of the NCE Alumni Chapter. Let me introduce an Alumni from the very first batch of our college –

Vikash Kumar is a bright student of Civil Engineering (08CV24) from 2008 Batch. He is currently an Assistant Engineer (Civil) at Bihar State Power Transmission Company Ltd. (BSPTCL), Muzaffarpur. He Cracked the entrance exam conducted by BSPTCL in December 2013 and joined the post in Feb 2014.

Vikash shares that he was so much annoyed with the irregularity of Electrical supply in his time that he always has grudges towards the department. And today he is very glad to be a part of the same department helping to resolve the problem at his best.

He dedicates a few words of wisdom to his beloved juniors - “Problems are nothing but the distraction which checks our concentration and Dedication. Always try to make the best out of the worst situation. And this attitude will help you in each and every step of your life”.

Hope everyone is safe and is at home.
We are glad to present to you the second success story from the NCE Alumni Chapter 2020. Let me introduce you to another Alumni from the very first batch of our college – Md. Umar Faruque.

Md Faruque has been a bright student of the Civil Engineering (08CV23) Department from the 2008 batch. He is currently an Assistant Engineer at the Rural Development Department under the Government of Jharkhand posted at Sahibganj (Jharkhand).

In Oct. 2012, he appeared in an off-campus placement drive for a top Indian construction company “Hindustan Construction Company Ltd.”. After 2 rounds of rigorous interviews, he was selected as a Site Engineer in the Structure Department (i.e. Bridge and ROB). Umar has worked on 4-lane Highway Project of Farakka – Raiganj NH-34 Link. In August of 2013, Rural Development Department shortlisted him for the post of the Assistant Engineer under the MGNREGA Scheme.

"We should never dream small." This is an excerpt from a lesson for us by Umar. He says one should not waste time in long term preparation of government jobs. Top private construction companies provide you the real work experience of civil engineering. If one is interested in the field of civil engineering, then he/she should try in the field of structural designing also. This has been my dream also.
