THE IMPORTANCE OF IELTS -TOEFL-PTE :
The IELTS is a test of English language proficiency that gauges proficiencies in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The IELTS -TOEFL-PTE is important for people because, in most cases, it is a prerequisite for admission into a university, employment or emigration abroad.
Why is the IELTS a prerequisite?
If you’ve noticed, the IELTS -TOEFL-PTE is a prerequisite for UK, USA, Canada, Australia and a other countries where English is spoken as the first language. Also, for those countries that do not speak English as their mother that and require IELTS, the first language in academic contexts is always English. For example, even though Netherlands has its own mother tongue, some of their colleges use only English as the language of delivery in classrooms and other academic contexts!
The premise is that students who are admitted must have a reasonably good working proficiency of the English language. One that is good enough to let them, without too much effort, understand and communicate in academic and non-academic contexts for the duration of the program. If they do not have this ability, they may not be able to keep up with the academic program. Colleges, therefore, pose a required cut-off for applicants (usually around a band score of 7) to make sure that only those who can keep up with the requirements of the program (from a language perspective) are considered for selection.
