Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day Celebration – 2026
Ballari: Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, dignity, and a strong spirit of patriotism at Veerashaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha’s S. K. Modi National School, Ballari.
As part of the programme, the national flag was hoisted at 7:45 a.m. on the school premises. The Principal of the school hoisted the flag and paid respect to the National Flag. Thereafter, the students, teachers, and staff stood in discipline and sang the National Anthem, expressing their patriotism and national pride.
Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day is a historically significant day for the people of this region. The Hyderabad-Karnataka region, which was under the rule of the Nizam, became part of the Indian Union on 17 September 1948, marking the beginning of a new chapter in its history. To commemorate this historic event, Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day is celebrated every year on 17 September.
During the programme, students and women teachers shared their views on the historical background of Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day, the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, patriotism, social awareness, and the journey of development in the region. The speeches and presentations by the students added special significance and charm to the programme.
On this occasion, the freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to the liberation struggle, along with countless patriots, were remembered with great respect. A message was conveyed that their sacrifice, courage, and patriotism should continue to inspire the younger generation.
On behalf of the School Chairman Shri Yelubenchi Rajasekhar, members of the Management, the Principal, school coordinators, the entire teaching fraternity, and all the staff, heartfelt wishes were extended to all the students on the occasion of Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day.
Such celebrations play an important role in creating awareness among students about the history and culture of our region, the freedom struggle, and the unity of our nation. The programme concluded meaningfully with the aspiration that, while remembering the sacrifices of our ancestors, everyone should contribute in their own way towards the overall development of Kalyana Karnataka.
The Liberation Day celebration concluded successfully with the message:
“Let us remember history – Let us honour the sacrifices – Let us join hands for a bright future of Kalyana Karnataka.”
