Evolution of KGPT🏫
KGPT college of Engineering is one of the oldest Sciene & Technical Education Legacy Complexes in India. This spread across a 30 acres of land located in the West hill province of Calicut City inline with old NH17/New NH66 pass.
The said Technical Education complex actually started in the British India pre independence itself, which further got upgraded as NIT (CREC) in Year 1961. Further with the expansion plans of NIT, this self Governed part of the institute to shifted to NIT Calicut. Rest of the BET/DET/NCVT/SBTE University affiliated various levels of courses still remain in the complex, Viz: BE/Btech/Diploma/ITI/JTS. In1999 this campus upgraded with new block as West hill engg college.
This education complex produce a good amount of technical resources in various disciplines of engineering that too various category. A ratio intake is maintained to ensure that the skilled crafts man, technician & technologists are brought up as per the market requirement.
This institute is well known for his machine lab, which is largest & oldest one among in india. This even got upgraded by adding latest aero space & locomotive engines for the practical studies. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical & Computer Depts are equipped with best faculties & facilities.
Enough of recreational facility, Hostel, Students Social Service Units make this institute a complete one to score it 5 star
