But she’s been fighting cancer for more than 5 years.

Do you know Zamil Ibrahim?
He’s a good pencil artist
But at the age of 7 he became a cancer patient.

Do you know Josephettan?
He was a lorry driver, who
after an accident and had to amputate his 2 legs.

Do you know Kunjikka?
He was a tree climber.
But, he has been bedridden for the last 10 years.

There are many more like these beautiful people whose life is a battle every day....

We, at The Beacon Foundation - Calicut has initiated a project called "ForYourFriends"

We are joining hands with Fai’s Cuisine and The CakeSmith on the February 20th at KMCT Institutes,Manassery.

The profit that they generate on the Food Fest at the KMCT institute will be donated towards our project "ForYourFriends".

ഈ ചെറിയ പെരുന്നാളിന് 54 കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് സന്തോഷം നൽകാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞതിൽ അല്ലാഹു വിനോടും ഈ സൽകർമ പ്രവർത്തിയിൽ സഹായിച്ച എല്ലാവർക്കും നന്ദി പറയുന്നു. പല നല്ല സുമനസുകളുടെ സഹായത്താൽ മാത്രമാണ് ഈ ദൗത്യം പൂർത്തീകരിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചത്. ഇതുമായി സഹകരിച്ച കോഴിക്കോട്ടെ പ്രിയപെട്ട 'ഇക്കായീസ്' അംഗങ്ങളോട് പ്രത്യേകം നന്ദി രേഖപെടുത്തുന്നു.

The Beacon Foundation - started 2 years back as an initiative by a few like minded youngsters in Calicut as they felt it their social responsibility to help those children who could not afford educational expenses. 3 years since the establishment, Beacon today is helping sponsor 15 children across Kozhikode District. It was with the constant support of many donors we were able to bring lights to the life of many needy children.

Another academic year is around the corner and we have a never ending list of needy children for whom some help would mean heaven. We are looking forward to help from kind hearted people all around to support more children and also to sustain the support for the eligible among the presently sponsoring children.

The festival of prosperity is here. Wishing you all a happy Vishu in advance.
Let the celebration begin and crackers go off.....
Let us light up the lives of some people who are struggling to let the both ends meet this Vishu. Let them know of the Joy of Vishu, Let them enjoy at least a small part of the prosperity that we enjoy.
Can't we set aside a small sum of money from what we burst for buying crackers and celebrate, towards making a few lives happier ?! If you could donate a part of what you spend for this Vishu, it might help BEACON's quest to spread the light of education to the less privileged.

End of yet another academic year. We are the fortunate ones who received the joy of learning and going to school/college. There are several millions out there who doesn't even enjoy that joy. Several millions who even when they have the opportunity of schooling, struggle to buy their text books. Yes, Text Books are a luxury for them.

Beacon is in a quest to help at least a few of them to arrange text books for the next academic year.

Why can't we donate our used text books towards such a cause ?! We request for the cooperation of all students to donate their school text books/college reference books towards the less fortunate ones.
