Happy to share that Ali Hasan’s thesis has been selected for the Best Thesis Award at the 10th Annual Thesis Conference 2025, organized by SAFI Media School in collaboration with the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, MAMO College. His research thesis, titled “From Economic Agents to Social Beings: Changing Narratives of Gulf Migration in Malayalam Cinema,” reflects an exploration of social and cultural transformations in Malayalam cinema.

Ali was a student of the 2nd batch of the PG Diploma in Islamic Thought and Social Process at Thanshia Islamic Academy. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to him and wish him continued success and blessings in all his future endeavours.

K. K. Baburaj, one of Kerala’s most prominent intellectuals, engaged in a thought-provoking session with the students of Thanshia. In his talk, he emphasized how his activism for the Dalit community has always been intertwined with his intellectual journey, showing how both streams of his life continuously informed and moved each other.

K. T. Hussain, Editor of the Islamic Publishing House, held an interactive session with the students. His talk focused on the contributions of the ʿulamāʾ from the Indian subcontinent to Islamic intellectual history.

Wahid Chullippara engaged in a conversation with the students of Thanshia Islamic Academy during the opening phase of the 2025–26 batch. A notable scholar and activist, Wahid previously served as the secretary of SIO Kerala and is currently pursuing his PhD at EFL University, Hyderabad. His deep commitment to Thanshia is significant—he played a key role in the foundational period of PG Diploma in Islamic Thought and Social Process and also served a term as director of the Academy.
