Your Consistency Builds Your Child’s Brain
If you're a parent of a child with developmental needs, here's something powerful from brain science:
“Neurons that fire together, wire together.”
That means every time your child sees, hears, touches, or moves during a meaningful moment — their brain is making connections.
These brain connections (called synapses) can begin forming in just 3–7 days of consistent, repeated experience.
But for a new skill to settle in, the brain usually needs about 2–4 weeks of practice with love, attention, and repetition.
So if you’ve been clapping hands every day…
If you’ve been waiting for your child to respond, even when it’s hard…
If you’ve been singing the same song or playing that same peek-a-boo game...
You are not just playing — you are building your child’s brain.
Progress may feel slow, but inside, something amazing is happening.
Your everyday efforts are laying the foundation for learning, step by step.
Keep going.
Consistency doesn’t mean perfection — it means showing up with love, again and again.
