FOSA Educational Rehabilitation and Mental Health Project' to support landslide affected people of Wayanad.

Project started one month before is progressing in full swing.

Fourteen social facilitators appointed by FOSA is in the field now, visiting the affected families staying in rented houses in 10 grama panchayats and collecting detailed data on their requirements including education and their mental status.

Out of 280 houses covered so far about 40 are identified with mental trauma who require psychological support.

FOSA opened a Counselling Centre at Kalpetta and those require counselling are brought to the centre. Service of Psychiatrist also made available at the centre and medicine provided as per the prescription of doctor.

Of the 280 houses covered about 15 are found to be in need of educational support. The number may go up once our facilitators cover more houses.
