PAPER BAG MAKING WORKSHOP FOR NCC CADETS

Chaliyam: On World Paper Bag day, July 12th, a paper bag making workshop was conducted for NCC Cadets of UHHSS Chaliyam. HM in charge Usaf Kozhikkodan Inaugurated the workshop which was led by Work Experience teacher Dilna K and coordinated by NCC Officers Beena C & Naseel S.

World Paper Bag Day is celebrated every year across the world on July 12. This day aims to make people aware of the harmful impact of plastic on our environment and promote paper bag usage. Paper bags are the perfect eco-friendly alternative to non-biodegradable plastic bags.

NCC UHHSS Chaliyam

As part of World Environment day, a Community Cleanup Drive was conducted on 8th June 2024 at Chaliyam, near Chaliyam Coastal Police Station by the Coast Guard, Coastal Police, Fisheries Department, NCC and Health department.

The main aim of the Community Cleanup Drive is to focus attention on the degrading environment which is posing a grave threat to the environment and human habitation.

20 cadets of NCC UHHSS Chaliyam - 29(K) Battalion (Boys) participated in the Cleanup Drive.
