Join with the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment for the biggest State Science Congress. This is the 36th edition and is becoming more and more popular with increasing number of participants, Programs etc.

We are back again with….
Aspiring Students in Progressive and Innovative Research and Education (ASPIRE 2023) – A programme for Model Residential Higher Secondary Schools science students across Kerala from 20-25th November 2023.
The ASPIRE 2022 was a great success, and the responsibility to organise the same this year is also vested with us. Thanks to KSCSTE and SC/ST Cell of KSCSTE.
50 students across the state and 10 accompanying teachers are participating in this event.

It was indeed a great pleasure and experience for us to field with Dr. Joachim Gratzfeld, Regional Program Director at Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI), UK. He was in India for exploring the possibilities to create a network among the botanical gardens in India and also to evaluate the progress of the BGCI supported conservation programs implemented in India. MBGIPS is also one among the three institutions implementing the same.
His enthusiasm in analysing each population, it's characteristics etc were truly amaizing. We had visited many sites and populations of our candidate species and held detailed discussions regarding the way forward with regards to the project activities. He has definite plans for each programme he is monitoring. He also released the promotional materials developed by MBGIPS for creating awareness among the general public.
Trust his visit will strengthen the relations between MBGIPS and BGCI.

We are organising a one day National Seminar on "Importance, Scope and Need of Conservation of Aquatic Habitats" on 20th October 2023.
This program is supported by Kerala State Biodiversity Board.

We are organizing a training program on the propagation of Vateria Indica and Hopea erosa for forest officials and the general public on October 13th, 2023, at the "Vanaparvam Biodiversity Park" in Calicut.
This program is part of the project on integrated conservation of two threatened dipterocarps, Vateria indica and Hopea erosa, which are endemic to the Western Ghats, Southern and Central Sahyadris in India. The project is funded by Botanic Garden Conservation International (BGCI).

We are arranging a special training program on Nursery Management and Quality Planting Material Production exclusively for the staff of Aralam Farming Corporation in Kannur from October 6th to 20th, 2023. This program is supported by the SC/ST Cell of the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology, and Environment.
