*Commerce Next - AI, Skills & Professional Careers*

The Department of Commerce and IEDC jointly organised “Commerce Next – AI, Skills & Professional Careers” on 8 September 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Seminar Hall.

The programme began with the Introduction by Mr. Faheem PN, Convenor, IEDC, followed by the Presidential Address by Dr. Fahad P, HoD, Department of Commerce. In his address, he highlighted the importance of equipping commerce students with technological skills and professional competencies.

The first session was handled by Mr. Muhammed Raees P C, Founder & CEO, Reyra AI, on “AI for Commerce and Management.” The session focused on the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in modern business and commerce. The speaker explained how AI can support data analysis, decision-making, automation, customer service and business management. Students were also introduced to the importance of developing AI literacy and adapting to emerging technologies to remain competitive in the future job market.

The second session was delivered by Mr. Abu Nabil Mohafath, Founder and CEO, Eclat International, on “Integrated Professional Courses for Commerce Students,” focusing on professional skill development and career opportunities.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Mr. Syed Ayan Fazal, Student Coordinator. The programme provided students with valuable insights into Artificial Intelligence, professional courses and emerging career opportunities in the field of commerce.

*WORKSHOP ON GST FILING & COMPLIANCE*

The Department of Commerce, Rouzathul Uloom Arabic College, in association with IBS Academy, Ramanattukara, organised a One Day Workshop on “GST Filing & Compliance” on 9 September 2026 at the Seminar Hall.

The programme began with the Introduction by Mr. Faheem PN, Programme Convenor, followed by the Presidential Address by Dr. Fahad P. The workshop was led by Hiba Ma’am, who provided students with practical insights into GST filing and compliance procedures. The session helped participants connect their theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Ayisha Sanjana. The workshop was successfully conducted and provided the participants with valuable practical knowledge and career oriented exposure in the field of GST and taxation.
