Supporting Young Children and Working Families in Bengaluru
As part of the Thubarahalli Health Project, Thanal has started three community creches in September to support children aged 7 months to 3 years living in underserved migrant communities in Belagere, Bengaluru.

Each creche can accommodate 20 children, enabling us to support 60 children across three creches. Each centre is supported by two trained caregivers who provide care, supervision, and a safe environment for young children from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

-Nutritious meals throughout the day
Children receive nutritious breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks to support their growth and development.

-Regular growth monitoring
Children's height and weight are monitored regularly to track their growth. Children identified with malnutrition are supported through doctor consultations and special nutritional care, ensuring timely attention and follow-up.

- Supporting working families
The creches also provide crucial support to families where both parents are working. Parents can leave their young children in a safe and caring environment while they go to work, helping families balance livelihoods and childcare.

These creches are more than childcare spaces. They are a community-based support system that brings together nutrition, growth monitoring, healthcare, and childcare, while helping families create better opportunities for themselves and their children.

With these three creches, Thanal is currently supporting 60 young children in the Belagere migrant communities of Bengaluru, taking another step towards building healthier and more supportive communities.

In alignment with the global momentum and spirit of the FIFA World Cup, Thanal School for Children with Disabilities commenced its football celebrations on June 15 with a Kick-Off Programme organized at the Vadakara Sand Banks. Key officials including SCPO Bineesh, SCPO Prabeesh, and CPO Nishara were present, alongside parents and Thanal ommittee members who attended to support the initiative. The students participated in a series of organized football games and activities designed to introduce them to the dynamics and spirit of the sport. A coordinating team comprising Mr. Suneeth Master, Mr. Ismail Moosa, Ms. Ayisha Haneefa, Mr. Noufal Mandodi, Mr. Wilson Varghese, Ms. Rimal Rittu, Ms. Neethu, and Ms. Sukanya Sivan managed the event's proceedings. The programme concluded with a focus on fostering participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the students.
