Mayraki is a leather brand by Debalina Das, who wishes to design a bag that would fit the everyday needs of the modern society. She believes that handbags have been both the carriers of secrets and are the signifiers of power, status, fashion and beauty. The accessories used are elegant , functional and symbolic, conveying to others the tribe to which we belong. The philosophy of the designs are
entirely based on the form of self-expression and signal of personal style. Debalina Das holds a thought of making minimal bags, more like everyday essentials which are quirky and sophisticated at times simultaneously. She graduated with a Bachelor of Design ( B.Des) in Fashion and Lifestyle Accessory Design from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)Chennai.
