It has been a year now since we lost Auntymashi on 19th. August 2025. She was not only the Founder of this institution but our guide, mentor and a safe place to seek refuge, when in distress. She was warm, affectionate and comforting and found solutions for all and sundry when they poured out their heart to her. Dolna, the first creche for the general public was her creation, inspiration and life. She breathed "Dolna" thoughout her day and dreamt about "Dolna" while she slept through the night. We, the Dolna family - teachers, students, ex-students, parents, well-wishers and a host of other people all over the world who had the good fortune of getting to meet her, know her and get her blessings will continue to miss her ........

This takes us back to the early days of Dolna, when our Founder’s love and care inspired a young couple to choose Dolna for their future child.

That child joined Dolna in 1980 and, today, continues to be a part of the institution as a teacher. A journey of 45 years built on warmth, and a sense of belonging. ✨
