Toughness of JEE Advanced 2021?
IIT-JEE Advanced , one of the hardest undergraduate entrance exams in the world , is a ‘test of elimination’ . Exam data highlights how tough the competition is .
In 2021 nearly 9 lakh students appeared for the JEE Mains and 1,41,699 were finally able to qualify for the JEE Advanced Exam.
Out of these, 41,862 students ( approx. 29 per cent) get qualified but only 16,296, or about 12 per cent, were finally offered seats.
57 of the 114 questions in the JEE Advanced 21 were wrongly answered by more than 90 per cent of the candidates.
15 questions (0f these 15 questions, 10 were from mathematics) were left un-attempted by more than 60 per cent of candidates.
32 questions in math were answered correctly by less than 10 per cent of candidates.
20 questions in chemistry were answered correctly by less than 10 per cent of candidates.
12 questions in physics were answered correctly by less than 10 per cent of candidates.
2 questions in chemistry, were answered correctly by less than 1 per cent of candidates.
