Disease- causing organisms are causing tremendous health diseases to which immunization is the only way out. Looking into this matter, the SSG Society has taken imperative steps to eradicate one of the most recently speeded- diseases, i.e., Filaria. Transmission by biting of flies and mosquitoes, causes filariasis. To give this a pause, recently on 20th August 2023, the immunization for this disease also started in Kirba School, Burla.Inclusive of Kirba School, this program has shown flying colours in Kirba Village and Pani tanki pada village reaching out to the impoverished, who need immunization.
The support that volunteers of SSG Society did during this period has helped many needy people of Kirba area to get immunized from one of the most devastating diseases, Filaria.

With these edifying words, SSG Society, in association with MOTHER (Multi Organ Transplantation and Human and Educational Research), organized a seminar at Biju Pattnaik E-learning Centre on 1st March 2023.

The event witnessed Er. Trailokya Nath Panda, founder of MOTHER, as the Chief Guest who enlightened the audience with his insightful presentation.

The event was also graced by presence of Dean, Students' Welfare, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Patro, Prof. Parkash Kumar Hota, and various other faculty members and students.

90% of life is how we respond to the 10% of events that happen to us.
Through promoting cancer awareness and education and encouraging the government and people to take action against the disease, we can hope to stop millions of deaths annually caused by this dreadful disease.
In this regard, SSG Society of VSSUT, Burla took its step towards creating awareness in organised a Seminar on Cancer Awareness at Biju Pattnaik E-learning centre on 15th February 2023. Dr. Chira Ranjan Khadanga, Sr. Consultant & HoD, Department of Radiation Oncology, SUM ULTIMATE MEDICARE, BHUBANESWAR, graced the event as the Chief Guest in the honorable presence of Vice Chancellor, VSSUT, Prof. Banshidhar Majhi sir, Registar Sri Pradip Dang sir, Dean of Students Welfare Prof. Sanjay Kumar Patro sir & other faculty members.
