TO THE LAND WHERE TOPSY-TURVY IS THE NORM!

On 26th September, The Students of Semester III put up a splendid recreation of one of our all-time favourite childhood reads, Alice in Wonderland!

'Trails Through Wonderland' as it is called, the students in four groups dressed up as lively characters presented Lewis Carroll's creation via Illustrations, Narrations, Song, Drama, Poems and vivid props that truly scaled up the ambience of the Administrative Seminar Hall into Alice's Wonderland.
From The Iconic Rabbit hole to the Tea Table of the Mad Hatter and from little Alice to the 'Drink Me' potion, every element was covered with awe-striking efforts and charm.

"TEACHER'S DAY 2022"

A successful day. After all the hustle and bustle, the confusion, the frustration the event finally became a huge success. Our dear professors enjoyed every moment of it, even the students enjoyed every part of the program... I'd call it a memorable day.

We are extremely honoured to be featured on the DD Bangla's 10:30 am telecast, which covered our exhibition on Many Geetanjalis: A Journey Through Translations. It not only made the Department proud, but also the entire college and we are grateful we could make it here.

On the 26th of August '22, the Department of English and Sociology had inaugurated a joint venture called "Perspectives" which included a course on Film Appreciation and also the screening of the documetary "Lost for Words" by Rajaditya Banerjee, discussing on the loss of indigenous language and culture, focusing primarily on the Toto tribe, residing at the borders of Bhutan and India.
The event was held at Loyola Multipurpose Hall accomodating students of English and Sociology belonging from the odd semesters and also a few students from the other departments as well.

Thanks to Rajaditya sir for providing such insightful knowledge on the technical and theoretical aspects of filmmaking. We are highly honoured to have such a talented and dedicated filmmaker who's simultaneously an actor, director and writer. Thank you.
