Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Burdwan observed the "Nasha Mukti Programme" at our institute premises.
The programme was organized to create awareness among students, faculty and staff about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free society. The event was conducted with the active participation of all stakeholders.
The programme included:
1. Inaugural Speech by the Principal on the theme "Nasha Mukti - A Collective Responsibility".
2.Special Lectures by the Senior faculty members on "Impact of Substance Abuse on Physical and Mental Health".
3. Oath Taking Ceremony - All students took a pledge to remain drug-free and spread awareness in the community.
4.Extempore Speech Competition for students on topics related to drug abuse, its prevention, and rehabilitation
The programme was successful in sensitizing the participants about the ill effects of substance abuse and reinforcing the commitment towards a healthy, drug-free life and community.
