To all my young readers -
Rejection is something not
everyone can handle. I, myself,
lost a couple of precious years of
my life chasing someone. I
wanted to believe things will
change over time. Someone will
understand my feelings. When I
finally realized things were never
going to change, my mind was full
of hatred. I was angry with a
person, myself and the whole
world. Then one night I was
staying over at my relative's place
when my 8 year old nephew
caught me guilty. I was at the
terrace and I had tears rolling
down my cheeks. He asked, "What
happened?" As silly as it may
sound - I confessed to him. "I've
made a mistake. And now I can't
get over it." He looked at me
casually and said, "If you've ever
made a mistake don't keep it like
this. Accept it and try to fix it." I
think he just imitated his
mother's speech for him but
suddenly he made total sense.
That night standing on that
terrace I realized where I messed
up. Some days, I was trying to
remember that person and some
days I was trying to resist it. But
either way I was letting that
thought rule my neurons, my
mind, my life. I was letting one
rejection to dictate who I was. I
was wrong. I'm more than one
rejection. I'm more than what one
person thinks of me. Yes! That
person is/was valuable to me -
but when they make you feel
lesser, they don't deserve it
anymore.
Life is much more than one
acceptance or rejection. Youth is
like raw mud. These are the years
which will decide who you'll be. A
magnificent sculpture or a failed
work of art. It's nice to have
found your perfect partner at a
young age. But if you don't - it's
not a failure. There's more to you
than a few likes and the
relationship status in social
media. Don't be afraid to be
single, just being with yourself -
your passion, your hobbies. It's
always a better option than being
cheated, lied or being
disrespected. Take care.

Take a challenge everyday
That tomorrow should be better
than today.
When I fight my innerself, I do lose
battles sometime
But the war with myself, is what I
win everytime.
I crib not, about what is gone
I forget the nights, start afresh
every dawn.
Present, is what, I create and enjoy
Content am I, like a child with his
toy.
What it is! matters, not to me
Coz I believe to see what can be.
Not blaming others, faults in me, is
what I see
Coz I believe if it is to be it is up
to me.
I just not know how to smile
But I believe in spreading a smile.
Its not easy to spread a smile,
For this, one needs to walk an
extra mile.
Step by step, step by step, is how I
tread the path
In sea of failures, to reach success,
I took a bath
The fun lay, not in the destination
But journey itself was a fascination.
Nothing came free, but with
success in mind
I payed the price, not just money,
but in every kind.
What it is to successful, had I
known
To reach it, double the efforts,
would I have sown.
I counted not the seeds in a fruit
But counted the fruits that came
from every root.
I hit the iron when it was hot
But ridicule in return is all I got.
BUT
When I touched the pinnacles, I
saw the viewpoints alter
Concern in return for a little hard
work, I think was a good barter…
