Delhi Public School, Bulandshahr, celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with immense patriotic fervour, pride, and enthusiasm. 🇮🇳 The occasion beautifully brought together the spirit of nationalism, cultural expression, and a renewed commitment to the values of freedom, unity, and responsible citizenship. ✨

The programme commenced with “Salutation to the Nation,” as the National Flag was unfurled with pride, followed by the National Anthem. The solemn ceremony infused the atmosphere with a profound sense of patriotism and reverence for the nation.

The celebration continued with “Prayer for the Nation,” invoking peace, prosperity, and progress for the country. This was followed by “Honouring the Esteemed Guest, Mrs. Laxmi Yadav,” during which she, along with the other distinguished guests, was felicitated with warmth and respect.

The students of the Middle Wing added musical splendour to the occasion with “Melodies of Patriotism,” a soulful patriotic song presentation that echoed their love for the motherland and celebrated the enduring spirit of freedom.

Adding rhythm and vibrancy to the celebration was “Harmony in Movement,” an engaging dance presentation by the Middle Wing. Through expressive choreography, the students beautifully portrayed India’s rich diversity and the unifying spirit that binds the nation together.

The spirit of reflective patriotism came alive through “Voices of Reflection,” an inspiring English speech, followed by “विचारों की अभिव्यक्ति,” a meaningful Hindi poem that paid tribute to the sacrifices, aspirations, and achievements that have shaped the nation.

The programme further resonated with patriotic fervour through “A Choral Tribute to the Nation,” presented by the school choir. This was followed by “Voices of Patriotism,” featuring a poem and slogan presentation by the Hindi teachers, conveying powerful messages of national pride, unity, responsibility, and devotion to the motherland.

The celebration was further enriched by a graceful classical dance presentation, which beautifully showcased India’s timeless cultural heritage and artistic traditions.

Pre-Independence Day Celebration – Junior Wing

“The India of tomorrow will not be defined only by how far we go, but by how wisely, sustainably, and together we move forward.” 🇮🇳

The Junior Wing celebrated Pre-Independence Day on 14th August 2026 with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour, and a deep sense of national pride. The special assembly commenced with a soulful prayer presented by the Nursery students, creating a serene and reverent atmosphere. This was followed by meaningful English and Hindi thoughts eloquently presented by the UKG students.

The LKG choir enthralled the audience with a melodious patriotic chorus that beautifully captured the spirit of the occasion and received warm appreciation from all present. Another major highlight was the vibrant dance presentation by the UKG and Class I students, which gracefully blended Indian classical and Western dance forms, symbolising the true essence of unity in diversity.

The programme concluded with an inspiring and interactive address by the Hon’ble Principal, Mr. D. S. Yadav. Through an engaging interaction with the young learners, he spoke about India’s freedom struggle, the significance of Independence Day, and the importance of remembering the sacrifices made for the nation’s freedom. The Cambridge Wing of Delhi Public School, Bulandshahr, celebrated Pre-Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on 14 August 2026, commemorating the 80th Independence Day of India. The celebration brought together students and teachers in a vibrant spirit of patriotism, unity, and pride in the nation.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome and felicitation of Hon’ble Principal Mr. D. S. Yadav, esteemed Vice Principal Ms. Swati Rawat, and esteemed Headmaster Dr. Gaurav Sharma. Their gracious presence added significance to the occasion and served as a source of motivation and encouragement for the students and teachers.

The celebration featured a vibrant array of cultural performances showcasing the talent, creativity, and patriotic spirit of the students. The programme was further enriched by an inspiring address by Hon’ble Principal Mr. D. S. (A Celebration of Leadership, Responsibility, and Service)
The Senior Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 was solemnly conducted on Saturday, 11 July 2026, in the School Auditorium of Delhi Public School, Bulandshahr. Commencing at 10:15 a.m., the ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly constituted Student Council and celebrated the values of leadership, responsibility, integrity, and service.
The occasion was graced by the august presence of the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Dr. H. K. Paliwal, IAS (Retd.), Former Chief Secretary and presently Advisor to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Hon’ble Member of The Delhi Public School Society and the School Management Committee, DPS Bulandshahr.
The ceremony was further dignified by the presence of the Hon’ble Special Guest, Ms. Nisha, IAS, Chief Development Officer, Bulandshahr; Mr. Jitendra Kumar Sharma, Parents’ Representative; and our beloved Mrs. Laxmi Yadav, along the distinguished parents, faculty members, and students.
A Symphony of Grace: The Orchestral Overture
The ceremony commenced with an enchanting orchestral presentation by the talented student ensemble. Their harmonious and captivating performance created an atmosphere of dignity, solemnity, and anticipation, setting an inspiring tone for the proceedings.
Illuminating the Path: Lamp Lighting and Felicitation
The traditional Lamp-Lighting Ceremony was performed by the distinguished dignitaries, symbolising the dispelling of ignorance and the illumination of knowledge, wisdom, and purpose.
The guests were thereafter felicitated as a mark of the institution’s profound respect and gratitude for their gracious presence. This was followed by a melodious Welcome Song presented by the school choir, extending a warm and cordial welcome to the esteemed gathering.
A Vision for Leadership: Welcome Address by the Hon’ble Principal
The Hon’ble Principal, Mr. D. S. Yadav, formally welcomed the Chief Guest, the Special Guest, distinguished dignitaries, parents, faculty members, and students.
In his address, he articulated the educational philosophy of the institution and underscored the importance of nurturing disciplined, compassionate, responsible, and value-driven young leaders. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the dignitaries and parents for their continued encouragement and support.

Words of Wisdom: Address by the Hon’ble Special Guest
The gathering was enlightened by the inspiring address of Ms. Nisha, IAS, Chief Development Officer, Bulandshahr.
She emphasized the collaborative role of parents and teachers in shaping a student’s personality and character. Employing a meaningful artistic metaphor, she compared the Student Council badge to a pencil. She observed that just as the firm wooden exterior of a pencil protects the delicate graphite within, the badge represents the responsibility of protecting and nurturing the kind, sensitive, and intrinsically valuable personality that lies within every student.
She encouraged the newly appointed leaders to remain humble and conscious of the responsibilities entrusted to them and to discharge their duties with sincerity, compassion, and dedication.
Rhythm of Resolve: Motivational Group Dance
A vibrant Motivational Group Dance was presented by the students. The highly synchronized performance beautifully reflected dynamism, unity, perseverance, and collective strength, earning immense appreciation from the audience.
The Badge of Responsibility: Investiture and Oath-Taking Ceremony
The ceremonial highlight of the morning was the formal investiture of the newly appointed Student Council.
The senior student leaders—Siddhartha Vashishtha, Head Boy (Scholastic); Kashvi Singhal, Head Girl (Scholastic); Viraj Punia, Head Boy (Co-Scholastic); and Trishi Yadav, Head Girl (Co-Scholastic)—were invested with their prestigious badges and sashes.
The honours were jointly conferred upon them by the Hon’ble Principal, Mr. D. S. Yadav; the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. H. K. Paliwal, IAS (Retd.); and the Parents’ Representative, Mr. Jitendra Kumar Sharma.
Subsequently, the remaining members of the Student Council were invited onto the stage and invested with their respective badges and insignia of office.
The solemnity of the occasion reached its zenith when the Chief Guest, Dr. H. K. Paliwal, administered the official oath to the newly appointed council members. With conviction and determination, the student leaders pledged to uphold the values and traditions of the institution, discharge their responsibilities faithfully, and serve the school community with integrity, impartiality, and dedication.

Leadership through Service: Address by the Hon’ble Chief Guest
The gathering was privileged to receive the blessings and keynote address of the Chief Guest, Dr. H. K. Paliwal, IAS (Retd.).
Drawing upon his distinguished administrative career and extensive experience in governance and public service, Dr. Paliwal offered profound guidance to the newly invested student leaders. He emphasized that leadership is not merely a position of authority but a commitment to service, accountability, discipline, and ethical conduct.
Highlighting the transformative role of responsibility in an individual’s life, he observed:
“Responsibilities make people better human beings.”
He explained that the sincere discharge of responsibilities prepares students for future leadership roles and enables them to evolve into disciplined, accountable, compassionate, and conscientious individuals. His words left a lasting impression upon the young leaders and inspired them to lead with integrity, humility, courage, and foresight.
A Promise to Lead: Pledge by the Student Leaders
In a poignant concluding moment, the newly invested Head Boys and Head Girls expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the trust reposed in them. They solemnly pledged to uphold the dignity, traditions, and illustrious legacy of Delhi Public School, Bulandshahr, and to discharge their responsibilities with unwavering commitment and sincerity.
Gratitude and Patriotism: Vote of Thanks and Conclusion
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Headmaster, Dr. Gaurav Sharma, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, Special Guest, distinguished dignitaries, parents, faculty members, organizing committee, support staff, and students for their invaluable contribution towards the successful conduct of the ceremony.
