ବିଲୁପ୍ତ ପ୍ରାୟ ପ୍ରାଣୀ "ଘର ଚଟିଆ" ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ର ଆବଶ୍ୟକ କୁ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ କରି ପିପୁଲ୍ସ୍ କଲେଜ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ବିଭାଗ ୨୦ ମାର୍ଚ୍ଚ ୨୦୨୬ ରିଖ "ବିଶ୍ୱ ଚଟିଆ ଦିବସ" ଦିନ ଏକ କର୍ମଶାଳା ର ଆୟାଜନ କରିଥିଲା। ବିଚାର କରନ୍ତୁ, ଏବଂ ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ପାଇଁ ବସା ଟିଏ ଘର ଆଗରେ ଲଗାନ୍ତୁ।
ଉକ୍ତ ଦିନ ଆମ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ର ପଦାର୍ଥ ବିଜ୍ଞାନ ବିଭାଗ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଓ ସାମ୍ବାଦିକ ବାବୁଲି ଭାଇ ଙ୍କୁ କୃତିମ ଘରଚଟିଆ ବସା ଉପହାର ଦିଆ ଯାଇଥିଲା।

The Department of Zoology Observed World Sparrow Day on the 20th. Mar.2026.with a Seminar on the Topic:"Food Habit and response of House Sparrow towards artificial feeding station"
Speaker: Dr. Umakant Behera, Teacher, Dhunkapoda High School.
1st is Inaugural Session :
President: Principal Dr. Purushottam Mishra.
Guest of Honour: Sri Harikrishna Nayak, Vice-Principal
Guest of honour: Sri Susanta Ku. Sahu, IQAC , Co-Ordinator.
Guest of honour: Smt. Rashmita Pattanaik, Seminar Incharge of the College.
Along with Dr. Stitathi Ratha, Sri Ananta Kara and Sri Sarat Ch. Gouda Guests to the Pakhal divas were honoured with the Zoology Department organised World Sparrow Day Inaugural session.
Dr. Purushottam Mishra, Principal expressed his experience on Conservation of House Sparrow in his House and its Importance to Nature.
In Second Session Dr. Umakanta Behera Delivered 45 minutes talk with PPT Presentation on all the aspects of the Importance of House Sparrow conservation and the process of Conservation through Installation of Artificial Habitation. Lastly the Department honoured two Sparrow Houses to IQAC Coordinator and Journalist Babuli Bhai.
Two days Back Department observed its 10th ANNIVERSARY on the 6th. ALUMNI FUNCTION and played one Drama "APAHANCHA LAKSHYA" written and Directed by Me i.e Ram Krushna Nayak, the title itself implies that in a peaceful situation how the trespassers create obstacles to reach its goal.
I feel Proud to be a member of Zoology Family and successfully organised two events in the last part of session 2026.
