A Parents Orientation Program titled “Empowering Parents as Communication Partners: Supporting Speech & Development at Home” was organized on 22 May 2026 by Udaan School for Experiential Learning in collaboration with the Department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology.
The program aimed to guide parents in supporting the speech, communication, and overall development of CWSN at home.

The session began by School incharge Dr. Poonam Talwar, She introduced the theme of the event and provided a brief overview of the importance of parental involvement in the speech and developmental progress of children.

Speech Language Pathologist Mr. Jitin Kumar conducted an interactive session on oral stimulation exercises and speech activities that parents can practice at home.
Later, Dr. Parveen Kumar introduced parents to basic sign language techniques and explained the importance of alternative communication methods.

The program was successfully coordinated by Special Educators Ms. Shweta and Mr. Kapil, who shared simple home-based activities to enhance learning, communication, and daily living skills in children.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Parveen Kumar, followed by a group photograph and refreshments. The program proved to be informative, interactive, and beneficial for parents in supporting their children’s developmental needs effectively at home.

Dr. Simmi Mahajan, CHRO and Security Assurance Officer visited Udaan School for Experiential Learning. During the visit, Dr. Poonam Talwar School incharge provided a comprehensive overview of the school’s services, programs, and vision.

She interacted with the staff and students, observed the learning environment, and appreciated the dedication and creativity demonstrated by both.

She especially acknowledged the Eco-Therapy initiative introduced by the school in-charge during Synergy 2025 and expressed interest in further collaboration on this project.

An MoU was signed between the Faculty of Education and the Sri Aurobindo Society on the same day, marking a significant step towards future academic and developmental collaboration.

The event titled “Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value” was successfully organized by the Department of Special Education, Faculty of Education, SGT University in collaboration with Udaan School for Experiential Learning, School of Physiotherapy, Neuro Rehabilitation Club, and School of Behavioural Science on 02 April 2026.

The program ran from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in E Block, Room No. 308, SGT University. Activities included an expert talk by Dr. Himanshu Khurana (MPT Pediatrics, CEO & Founder of CogniAble The Child) and another expert lecture by Dr. Kalyani Gopal (PhD Psychologist, PhD HSPP, FACAPP) followed by a dance performance by CwSN, a psychoeducational skit, interactive activities by Faculty of behavioral science and an assessment camp for CwSN at Udaan School for Experiential Learning by Neuro rehabilitation club.

The event was convened by Dr. Neha Sharma, Dr. Poonam Talwar, Dr. Pooja Anand, , Dr. Monika Srivastava and (Prof.) Dr. Madhavi Sharma with Ms. Priyanka Yadav as Co-Convenor.
The coordinators included Mr. Abhra Mukhopadhyay , Dr. Chandan Kumar Dubey, Dr. Saurabh Kumar, Dr. Indu, Ms. Shweta,Ms. Nidhi and all special educators and faculty members from the collaborating institutions.

The program highlighted awareness and inclusivity for autism, celebrating humanity and the value of every life.
