Ameer Mukhtar avenged the blood of Imam Hussain (AS).
Years after the heart-wrenching tragedy of Karbala, when the pure blood of the grandson of the Prophet (SAWW) and the children of Ahlulbayt had soaked the sands of Karbala, Allah raised a man of iron will and unshakeable loyalty - Mukhtar ibn Abi Ubaid al-Thaqafi, known as Ameer Mukhtar.
He rose in Kufa with one clear mission: to hunt down every single murderer, every hand that raised a sword against Imam Hussain (AS), every tongue that ordered the massacre, and every heart that rejoiced in the killing of the Master of the Youths of Paradise.
And he did not stop until justice was served.
• Hurmala ibn Kahil al-Asadi - the cursed archer who shot the three-pronged arrow into the tender neck of the six-month-old Ali Asghar (AS) while the infant was dying of thirst in his father’s arms. When he was finally caught and brought before Mukhtar, his hands and feet were severed. The same hands that released that deadly arrow tasted the heat of iron and fire before he met his end. Mukhtar even fasted that day in gratitude to Allah.
• Shimr (Shimar) ibn Dhi al-Jawshan — the one who played a leading role in the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS), attacked the tents of the Ahlulbayt, and tried to kill Imam Zainul Abideen (AS). He fled after Mukhtar took power, but Mukhtar’s men tracked him down. He was killed, his head sent to Mukhtar, and his body left for the dogs - a fitting end for the one who showed no mercy to the family of the Prophet.
• Ubayd Allah in Ziyad (Ibn-e-Ziyad) - the tyrant of Kufa who ordered the entire massacre, the one who demanded the heads and sent the captives in chains. He was killed on the battlefield near the Khazir river by the forces of Ibrahim in Malik al-Ashtar. His head was brought to Mukhtar and later sent onward as proof that the blood of Hussain had been avenged.
