बंगाईगाँव विश्वविद्यालय में हिंदी विभाग के द्वारा 14 सितंबर, 2026 को हिंदी दिवस का आयोजन किया गया , जिसमें मुख्य अतिथि हिंदी विभाग के भूतपूर्व विभागाध्यक्ष श्री गोपेश्वर तालुकदार ने द्वीप प्रज्वलन से कार्यक्रम का आरंभ किया। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य व्याख्या डॉ. बिन्द कुमार चौहान ने किया। हिंदी विभाग के भूतपूर्व विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ.नूर जमाल ने हिंदी भाषा के महत्त्व, नौकरी की सुविधा, हिंदी विभाग के इतिहास और हिंदी के विविध बिंदुओं पर वक्तव्य दिया है। मुख्य अतिथि श्री गोपेश्वर तालुकदार ने हिंदी भाषा की परंपरा, बोलचाल भाषा, भाषागत गुलामी, प्रांतीय भाषा पर प्रकाश डालते हुए हिंदी भाषा के प्रचार-प्रसार पर वक्तव्य रखा। बंगाईगाँव विश्वविद्यालय के उप-कुलपति प्रो. तरणी डेका महोदय ने हिंदी भाषा को लिंक भाषा, हिंदी की अमीरता, हिंदी भाषा को लेकर वाद-विवाद, हिंदी को लेकर दक्षिण पंथी की सुधारात्मक धारणा, व्यवसाय के क्षेत्र में हिंदी, हिंदी भाषा के विस्तार पर बात रखते हुए भारतीय अन्य भाषाओं पर वक्तव्य प्रदान किया है। इस कार्यक्रम में बंगाईगाँव विश्वविद्यालय के विभिन्न विभाग के अध्यापक-अध्यापिकाओं के साथ हिंदी विभाग और अन्य विभाग के विद्यार्थी भी उपस्थित रहें। जिन्होंने हिंदी दिवस के विविध कार्यक्रम का आनन्द लिया। इस कार्यक्रम का संचालन आरंभ से लेकर अंत तक विभागाध्यक्ष, सह अध्यापक श्री करुणा पाटगिरी ने किया। अंत में हिंदी विभाग के सहायक अध्यापक डॉ. सिराजुल हक ने सभी विद्वत जनों को धन्यवाद ज्ञापन किया है। धन्यवाद के बाद सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम जारी रहा ।

The 2nd Freshmen Social of Bongaigaon University was celebrated on 7th September, 2026 with a vibrant day-long programme organised under the aegis of the Bongaigaon University Post Graduate Students’ Union (BUPGSU).

The Open Session was chaired by Dr. Rupnath Owary, DSW i/c, and graced by Prof. Jatin Sarmah, Rector & Pro Vice-Chancellor, Bodoland University, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Dinesh Das, Registrar; Shri Bhabani Prasad Sharma, Controller of Examinations i/c; Dr. Padumi Singha, Academic Registrar i/c; and Shri Bimalendu Kumar Ghosh, President, BUPGSU, also attended the programme.

The celebration featured inspiring addresses, meaningful interactions and vibrant cultural performances by the students, followed by a special musical performance by renowned Assamese singer Subasana Dutta. 🎶✨

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bongaigaon University organised a Seminar-cum-Interaction on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Education, Research and Skill Development”, bringing together academicians, technology professionals, entrepreneurs, faculty members, research scholars and students for an engaging discussion on the emerging role of AI in higher education and the world of work.

The programme was presided over by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Taranee Deka, who highlighted the growing significance of Artificial Intelligence in shaping the future of education and research.

The programme was graced by Shri Lakhinandan Saharia, District Commissioner, Bongaigaon, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Dinesh Das, Registrar, Bongaigaon University, delivered the Welcome Address. Shri Dimpal Kr. Baishya, AGM, DICC, also attended the programme and shared insights on opportunities available to students through government sectors.

The technical sessions featured three eminent resource persons namely Prof. Mridul Hazarika, former Vice Chancellor, Gauhati University, Sounak K. Ghosh, techno-commercial professional and visiting faculty; and Shri Shantanu Shom, Founder & CEO, Somnetics.

The interactive sessions explored the applications of AI in education, academic research, professional development, entrepreneurship and skill development, while emphasising the need for technological adaptability and responsible use of AI.

The programme witnessed active participation from faculty members, research scholars and students, providing a meaningful platform for knowledge sharing and academic interaction.

On the occasion of World Entrepreneurs' Day, the Department of Commerce in collaboration with IQAC, EDC and the Department of BBA, Bongaigaon University, organised a Departmental Seminar on 21st August, 2026 on the theme “From Idea to Enterprise.”

Dr. Rahin Chandra Das, Director (i/c), IQAC and Head of the Department of Economics, attended as the Guest of Honour and encouraged students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and turn innovative ideas into viable enterprises.

The programme concluded with an engaging Quiz Competition, witnessing enthusiastic participation from the students.

The Induction Programme for the newly admitted Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of Bongaigaon University was held on 18 August, 2026 at the University Auditorium Hall.

The programme was graced by Dr. Bhushan Chandra Pathak, Principal, B.H. College, Howly as well as noted author as the Chief Guest. Prof. Taranee Deka, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dinesh Das, Registrar, and Dr. Chinmoy Bhattacharjee, Principal, Birjhora Mahavidyalaya along with Deans, Heads, faculty members and newly admitted students attended the programme.

Interacting with the students, Dr. Pathak shared his valuable experiences and encouraged them to strive not only for academic excellence but above all to become good human beings.
