Teacher's talk - Ms. Jaya Sen, Class Teacher delivered an inspiring speech on 'Time Management ' to focus on upcoming Half Yearly Examination,2026-27.

Students also celebrated Maitri Bandhan in which Principal Ms. Suman Nangia tied rakhi to the plant to show love, togetherness and protection towards nature.

A total of 103 students participated in the competition, showcasing their confidence, dedication and interest in the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. 📖🙏✨

🎤🌿 The students presented their chanting with great enthusiasm, sincerity and confidence. The competition provided them with a meaningful platform to enhance their pronunciation, concentration, memory, confidence and spiritual awareness through the recitation of verses from the Bhagavad Gita. 🌟👏

🌧️🌺 Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Chas celebrated Sawan Mahotsav with great enthusiasm, warmth, and festive spirit. The celebration beautifully reflected the traditional charm and joyful essence of Sawan through music, dance, games, mehndi, and other festive activities. 🌿💚

The celebration was graced by the presence of the esteemed guests Madam Jasmine, Madam Harjeet Kaur and Madam Jaswinder Kaur. 🌷✨

The guests were given a warm and traditional welcome with Tilak, symbolising respect, auspiciousness, and Indian hospitality. 🌺🙏 Beautiful Mehndi was also applied to the guests, adding a colourful and traditional touch to the Sawan festivities. 🌿🤲✨

As a token of love, respect, and appreciation, the esteemed guests were presented with beautiful gift hampers. 🎁💐

Following the traditional welcome, Principal, Ms. Suman Nangia Ma’am delivered a warm welcome speech, extending heartfelt greetings to the esteemed guests and expressing her happiness at being a part of the vibrant celebration. Her encouraging words added grace and warmth to the occasion. 🎤🌸

A beautiful Sawan song and dance performance added colour and vibrancy to the celebration. The melodious presentation and graceful dance captured the beauty, freshness, and festive spirit of the monsoon season. 🌧️🎵💃

The Jhula (swing) emerged as the most attractive highlight of the Sawan Mahotsav. It created an atmosphere of excitement, happiness, and nostalgia, making the celebration even more lively and memorable. 🎡😍🌿

The celebration was further enlivened with a variety of fun-filled games and engaging activities. The games added laughter, excitement, and enthusiasm, creating a cheerful festive atmosphere for everyone. 🥳🎊

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Jyoti Jha, who expressed sincere gratitude to the esteemed guests, the Principal Ma’am, the organisers, and everyone whose valuable contribution made the celebration a grand success. 🙏🌸

Pawan House successfully organised three enriching literary and academic activities—English Debate, Hindi Extempore, and Quiz Competition—with the objective of fostering confidence, creativity, communication skills, spontaneity, general awareness, and a spirit of healthy competition among the students.

🎤 English Debate
The English Debate Competition provided students with a stimulating platform to express their views on thought-provoking topics. The participants demonstrated impressive confidence, logical reasoning, clarity of ideas, fluency, and effective communication. The performances were evaluated on the basis of content, relevance of arguments, fluency, confidence, presentation, and rebuttal skills.

The activity encouraged students to think independently and articulate their ideas in a clear and organised manner.

The Quiz Competition added an academic and competitive dimension to the event. The competition tested not only the participants’ knowledge but also their alertness, teamwork, decision-making ability, and presence of mind.

With the aim of nurturing confidence, creativity, expression, pronunciation, communication skills and stage presence, Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Chas successfully organized an Inter-House Hindi Story Telling Competition for the students of Classes I to III on 21st August 2026.

The competition was organized by Akash House and was held at the Baba Deep Singh Auditorium Hall. The event provided a wonderful platform for the young participants to showcase their storytelling skills, expressive abilities and confidence on stage. 🎤📖✨

The students presented their stories with great enthusiasm, using appropriate expressions, voice modulation, gestures and props to make their performances engaging and effective. Their confidence and creativity were truly appreciable and received encouraging applause from the audience. 👏

The performances beautifully reflected the students’ storytelling abilities, pronunciation, expression, communication skills and stage presence. The use of suitable props and character-based costumes further enhanced the overall presentation.

The morning assembly presented by Class 2/A was a beautiful blend of confidence, patriotism and meaningful learning. With the theme “Patriotism and the Freedom Movement,” the young learners reminded everyone that freedom is not merely a privilege but also a responsibility.

🎙️ Master of Ceremonies –
Harju and Apurba took the audience through the assembly with confidence and enthusiasm. Their well-coordinated anchoring added warmth and energy to every segment.

The assembly began with a serene prayer, creating a positive and peaceful atmosphere. The young presenters participated with sincerity and discipline.

💭 Thought of the Day presented by Aditya Kumar , who encouraged everyone to understand that small acts of honesty, kindness, discipline and responsibility can contribute towards a better India.

📚Word of the Day introduced by Anmol . The word “Patriotism” meaning respect and devotion towards one’s country.

🇮🇳 The energetic students of Class 2/A presented a captivating Patriotic Mashup dance . Their graceful movements, vibrant expressions and enthusiastic performance beautifully reflected their love for the nation. The performance created a proud and emotional atmosphere and was enthusiastically applauded by the audience.
