26 July 2026 marked the inaugural examination for Kyu grades of the 2026-27 session, overseen by examiner Kashif Ahmad Sensei at JKA WF India Jharkhand HQ DOJO, for 78 students. We extend our best wishes to them for their continued training. Those who did not succeed this time are encouraged to intensify their training so they can ultimately attain higher belts from us. At the Japan Karate Association Bokaro, we do not simply confer belts; rather, we organize Kyu examinations thrice annually, every four months, and only the most meritorious students are successful. We are also grateful to Sumit Sensei, Rakhi Sensei, and A***n Sharma for their diligent efforts in educating & training their students and assisting us in the seamless ex*****on of the examination.

An outstanding showing by JKA Team Bokaro at the 2nd All India JKA Karate-do Championship, held at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, from June 5-7, 2026.
This championship was organised by JKAWF INDIA, hosted by JKAWF INDIA Odisha and approved by Japan Karate Association (JKA), Tokyo, Japan.
We are extremely thankful to the Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. for sponsoring the track jackets for our team members.
On the inaugural day, subsequent to a training seminar led by Shihan Satoshi Takahashi, five members from JKA Bokaro successfully cleared their SHODAN examination, thereby attaining the esteemed JKA Black Belt. Over the subsequent two days, a contingent of 41 individuals representing JKA Bokaro garnered a remarkable 13 Gold, 12 Silver, and 13 Bronze medals. The groundwork for the forthcoming world championship is now set to commence.

JKA Team Bokaro Set for 2nd All India JKA Karate-Do Championship

JKA Team Bokaro will depart on 4 June 2026 for the 2nd All India JKA Karate-Do Championship, scheduled from 5 to 7 June 2026 at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.

Our 41 member contingent is ready to showcase the skill and discipline honed through rigorous training under our dedicated instructors. The team has put in months of focused preparation and is committed to upholding the JKA spirit on the national stage.

The JKA Bokaro team had an incredible opportunity to train with Yuko Hirayama Shihan at the Space Circle Club in Kolkata on January 20, 2026. Her expertise will undoubtedly take our karate skills to the next level.
Huge congratulations to Suhani Singh (Nidan), Amit Kumar Mahatha(Shodan), and Aqib Haque(Shodan) on passing their black belt exams. We're eagerly awaiting the results of Sumit Mishra Sensei and Rakhi Choudhary Sensei's Instructor license exam.

Successful completion of the 3rd Bokaro District JKA Karate Championship on 21 December 2025 at the Amrut Park Indoor Hall, Phase-V, Bokaro Steel City, with the total participation of 92 karateka showcasing their best versions on the tatami.
