Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro Achieves Excellence Once Again: Aditi Sagar Tops School with 99.2%
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared Class XII Board results on Wednesday and students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro once again brought laurels to the school with their outstanding performance across all streams.
Demonstrating academic excellence and consistency, the students secured remarkable results, making the institution and the entire Bokaro district proud. In the overall results, Aditi Sagar from the Commerce stream emerged as the school topper by securing an exceptional 99.2% marks.
She was followed by Mehnaz Alam from the Science stream with 96.4%, and Anamika Kumari from the Humanities stream with 96%.
Soon after the declaration of the results, Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice-Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar and Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma congratulated the successful students and extended their heartfelt wishes for their bright future. The students were invited to the school premises, where sweets were distributed to celebrate their achievement.

Extending his congratulations, Secretary Mr. Mahesh Tripathi appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and acknowledged the constant support of teachers and parents. *Over ₹8.76 Lakhs Distributed as Scholarships to Needy Students*
Scholarship is not merely financial assistance; it is a source of motivation, encouragement, and hope for a brighter future. Recognizing this noble purpose, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro & Chinmaya Smiles Back, functioning under the aegis of the Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro Alumni Association, has been extending support to deserving students every year, thereby strengthening their confidence and morale.
On Saturday, a scholarship distribution ceremony was organized in the seminar hall of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, where scholarships were awarded to 50 meritorious students under the ‘Talent Nurturing’ and ‘Vidya-Vritti’ schemes. The scholarship amounts were transferred directly to the students’ bank accounts through cheques.
The Deputy Commissioner of Bokaro, Sri Ajay Nath Jha, IAS, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme was also attended by Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, President Biswarup Mukhopadhyay, Principal Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice-Principal Narmendra Kumar, and Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma.
The programme commenced with a traditional welcome accorded to the Chief Guest, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering during the welcome speech, Principal Shri Suraj Sharma conveyed his best wishes to all the students and expressed gratitude to the guests and parents for their presence. He stated that the scholarships provided by Chinmaya Smiles Back serve as a powerful source of encouragement for deserving students and reflect a meaningful contribution towards social welfare.
Thereafter, the Chief Guest formally distributed cheques and certificates of appreciation to all 50 scholarship recipients. A total scholarship amount of ₹8,76,000 was distributed, including ₹2,81,000 under the Talent Nurturing Scheme and ₹5,95,000 under the Vidya-Vritti Scheme.
While addressing the students, DC Bokaro, Shri Ajay Nath Jha congratulated the scholarship recipients and wished them success in their future endeavours. He remarked that such scholarships play a crucial role in helping students realize their dreams and aspirations. Appreciating the efforts of Chinmaya Vidyalaya and Chinmaya Smiles Back, he described the initiative as a commendable example of social service and community support. Motivating the students, he advised them to work diligently in the present to build a brighter and more successful tomorrow.

110th Gurudev Jayanti Celebrated at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro
Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro celebrated the 110th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati, the revered founder of the Chinmaya Mission, with deep devotion and spiritual fervour on Friday. To mark the auspicious occasion, a special Guru Paduka Puja and Annadaanam were organised.
The sacred Guru Paduka Puja was performed by Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati, resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Bokaro.
The solemn ceremony was graced by the presence of President Mr. Biswaroop Mukhopadhyay, Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma, Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma, Deputy Manager Mr. Puneet Doshi, and Academic Supervisor Mr. Rahul Roy.
Swamini Samyuktananda Saraswati enlightened the students about the inspiring life, teachings, and timeless ideals of Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. Thereafter, the traditional puja rituals were performed with great reverence. Swamini ji, along with the students, chanted the 108 names of Gurudev, invoking his divine blessings. The ceremony concluded with the Gurudev Aarti and soulful devotional bhajans, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere across the campus.

Pre-Primary Wing:
The tiny tots offered floral tributes to Gurudev and presented a short yet meaningful play highlighting his values and teachings.
Primary Wing (Classes I & II):
Students organized an Annadaanam initiative by distributing food to the needy and presented a devotional song dedicated to Gurudev.
Classes III to V:
A special assembly featuring colourful song and dance performances was organized. Students also showcased their creativity by preparing handmade birthday cards for Gurudev.
Classes VI to XII:
Students conducted a special assembly comprising music, dance, and insightful presentations on the life and philosophy of Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati. Class XII students further paid tribute by beautifully decorating their classrooms and creating intricate Rangoli designs. These decorations and Rangolis will be evaluated as part of an inter-house competition.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma expressed his happiness and pride in witnessing the students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro imbibing the ideals and values of Gurudev in their daily lives. Paying homage to Gurudev, he reaffirmed the institution’s unwavering commitment to realizing Swamiji’s vision of value-based education and holistic development — a commitment reflected in the school’s consistent excellence and achievements.

Investiture Assembly 2026–27: Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro Welcomes Its New Student Council
Student life is a formative phase during which young minds cultivate essential social, emotional and intellectual competencies alongside academic excellence. Learning to shoulder responsibilities from an early age lays a strong foundation for character building and lifelong success. The newly appointed Student Council and Prefects embody this spirit of leadership, commitment and accountability.
The ceremony was graced by Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma, Senior Vice Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar and Vice Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma. Distinguished faculty members, including Mr. Subrat Gupta, Mr. Keshabh Tiwari, Mrs. Priyanka Jaiswal, Mr. Sanjeev Singh, Mr. Pranjal Saikia and Mr. Rahul Roy, were also present. The programme was seamlessly anchored by Mr. Arpan Chakraborty and Mrs. Minakshi Kumari.
The formal investiture ceremony commenced with a solemn prayer, setting a dignified tone for the occasion. This was followed by a synchronized march-past of the newly elected Student Council and lPrefects, accompanied by the school’s NCC cadets. As their names and respective portfolios were announced, the student leaders were invited on stage.

One-Day Capacity Building Workshop was successfully organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro on Saturday dated 2.4.26 at the Swami Tejomayananda Hall. The workshop was centered on the theme ‘Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL)’.
The session was conducted by the resource persons, Mr. Suraj Sharma, Principal of the school, and Mrs. Riya Mukherjee, Head of the English Department at Samford International Academy, Jainamore. The programme was also graced by the presence of Senior Vice-Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar and Vice-Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma.
The workshop commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a melodious welcome song presented by the teachers of the Music Department.
Social Awareness is Essential from an Early Age: Mr. Suraj Sharma
In the opening session, the first resource person, Mr. Suraj Sharma, addressed the teachers and highlighted the importance of nurturing social awareness in students from a young age. He emphasized that in today’s rapidly evolving world, children are gradually becoming disconnected from society, making it essential to instill empathy and sensitivity in them.
Through relevant examples, he illustrated the emotional needs of children, particularly their desire for love and affection. He also briefed the participants on the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and its emphasis on integrating SEL into the educational framework. The session included a series of engaging and interactive activities, providing teachers with practical insights into implementing SEL effectively in classrooms.
Make Classrooms More Interactive: Mrs. Riya Mukherjee
The second session was conducted by Mrs. Riya Mukherjee, who actively engaged the teachers by inviting them to share their memorable classroom experiences. Building on the theme, she emphasized the need to create interactive and inclusive learning environments.
She encouraged teachers to foster a positive social atmosphere in their classrooms and to go beyond textbook teaching by incorporating real-life experiences and values into their lessons. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, where participants clarified their queries.
At the end of the workshop, Senior Vice-Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar delivered the vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to both the resource persons, the School Management Committee, COE Patna, and all the teachers and staff for their valuable contributions in making the programme a success. "Development of Competency-Based Question Papers Essential for Effective Assessment: Dr. Roshan Sharma"
The two-day in-house training workshop at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, successfully concluded today, on Thursday. Centered on the theme "Competency-Based Assessment," the program aimed to refine pedagogical skills in alignment with contemporary educational frameworks. The session featured Vice Principal Dr. Roshan Sharma as the keynote speaker, with the esteemed presence of Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma and Senior Vice Principal Mr. Narmendra Kumar.
On the second and final day of the workshop, Dr. Roshan Sharma provided a concise recapitulation of the inaugural day's proceedings. This was followed by an interactive session where faculty members participated in subject-specific group activities. The primary objective was the construction of competency-based question papers.

In-House Training Workshop on Competency-Based Assessment and Mental Health organized at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro
A two-day 'In-House' training program for all teachers and staff members was conducted on Wednesday at the 'AV Hall' of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. The central theme of this workshop was 'Competency-Based Assessment,' aimed at enhancing the skills of teachers to align with modern educational methodologies. Vice Principal, Dr. Roshan Sharma and Mental Health Counselor, Mr. Manish Kumar, served as the keynote speakers for the workshop. Additionally, Principal, Mr. Suraj Sharma, and Senior Vice Principal, Mr. Narmendra Kumar, were also present.
The workshop commenced with the address of Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma to all the teachers and staff members gathered. He emphasized that, in the current times, prioritizing mental health is even more crucial than focusing solely on physical health. He stated that mentally strong and composed teachers are better equipped to prepare students for a brighter future.

In the first phase of the workshop, the school's Counselor, Mr. Manish Kumar, engaged in a discussion regarding the social and mental well-being of the teachers. Using a PPT presentation, he explained the nuances of the subject to everyone. He stated that a healthy and balanced mental state is what enables a teacher to connect more effectively with students.
He discussed in detail topics such as stress management, work-life balance, and strategies for fostering a positive environment within the classroom. Mr. Kumar emphasized that, in the pursuit of academic excellence, the mental health of both students and teachers must remain paramount.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Roshan Sharma shed light on the nuances of 'Competency-Based Assessment.' With the aim of inspiring and guiding students, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro regularly organizes workshops.
The keynote speaker for the session was Prof. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Director, School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT.
Principal, Mr. Suraj Sharma; Senior Vice-Principal, Mr. Narmendra Kumar; and Vice-Principal, Dr. Roshan Sharma were present. The session was organized for the students of Class XII.
The programme commenced with the presentation of a sapling to the keynote speaker, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp to invoke the blessings of Gurudev. Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr. Suraj Sharma introduced Prof. Panigrahi to the students. Emphasizing the significance of Class XII as a crucial phase in a student’s life, he encouraged students to give their best with complete dedication and sincerity. He also urged them to clear all doubts and take proper decisions during this crucial stage, which plays a vital role in shaping their future.
In his address, Prof. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi shared valuable insights into career planning and introduced students to various opportunities at KIIT.
He highlighted key principles for success, engaged students actively and appreciated the commendable efforts of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro in the field of education.
Towards the end of the session, a short assessment was conducted. Based on their performance, the top four students were felicitated with certificates of appreciation from KIIT.
