Delhi Public School, Bokaro Steel City, hosted the prestigious Milestone Award 2025 ceremony, under the aegis of Dr. Radhkrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro on Saturday to felicitate the academic achievers of Class X (SSE) and Class XII (SSCE) from the member schools of the Complex. The event was graced by Shri Kranthi Kumar Gadidesi (I.P.S), Inspector General of Police, Bokaro Zone, as the Chief Guest. It also included galaxy of intellectuals from the Sahodaya Complex, Bokaro, Soumen Chakraborty, Vice President, Dr. R .K. Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro and Principal GGPS Sector- V, Bokaro; Biswajit Patra, General Secretary, Dr. R. K. Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro and Principal, A.R.S. Public School Bokaro; Dr. D. N. Prasad, Director, The Pentecostal Assembly School, Bokaro; Mrs. P. Shailja Jayakumar, Principal, Sree Ayyappa Public School, Bokaro; Dr. Karuna Prasad, Principal, The Pentecostal Assembly School, Bokaro; Ranjeet Kumar, Principal, Adarsh Vidya Mandir, Bokaro; Mukesh Kumar, Principal, Dr.Rajendra Prasad Public School, Bokaro; Vijay Thakur, Principal and Akshat Kumar Academic, Coordinator of Crescent Public School, Bokaro and Anuradha Singh, Principal, D.A.V. Public School, Sector 6 were prominently present among others.

The event commenced with the presentation of saplings by student representatives epitomising greenery and sustainability followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting. The students mesmerised the audience and made the ambience lively with their powerful presentation of the welcome and school song and a graceful dance on Ganesh Vandana. The highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of over sixty toppers of Class X and XII from various schools across the Sahodaya Complex, Bokaro. The felicitation was a recognition of the students for their outstanding performance in the CBSE Board Examinations 2025. The toppers were felicitated together, school-wise, to applaud their individual and institutional accomplishments.

The Chief Guest, Kranti Kumar Gadidesi, in his address, commended the students for their hard work and the parents and teachers for their sacrifices and relentless efforts. He advised the young learners to be adaptable to changes in society, develop good and effective communication skills, be humble and grounded in life, build relationships with people around, develop an attitude to deal with and learn and inculcate good hobbies as they are forever in a person’s life. “Never chase success, chase excellence and passions, success will follow you”, he asserted.

Dr. A. S. Gangwar, President of Dr.Radhkrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro and Principal, DPS Bokaro extended a warm welcome to all. He acknowledged the efforts of the students and congratulated them. He said that this platform is a true reflection of the motto of ‘Sahodaya’—rising together and growing as one united family. “This spirit of togetherness of sharing educational experiences makes today’s moment even more special. These young minds will be at the helm as leaders, innovators and changemakers and make India a global powerhouse by 2047”, he added.

The programme culminated in a heartfelt vote of thanks by Biswajit Patra, the General Secretary of Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex.

CBSE Training of Trainers Certification Course concludes successfully at DPS Bokaro

The two-day Training of Trainers (T o T) Certification Course, organized by CBSE in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), Government of India, concluded successfully at Delhi Public School, Bokaro, on Saturday. The event brought together eminent dignitaries, including Ravi Prakash, Head, CoE, CBSE, Patna Region and Raghwendra Kumar, Section Officer, CoE, CBSE, Patna Region.

More than 60 educators actively participated in this intensive certification programme, engaging in insightful discussions, interactive sessions and hands-on training sessions. The sessions were led by esteemed Resource Persons, Pramod Kumar Jaiswal, Deputy Director, ISTM, Government of India and Dr. Subhrajyoti Ray, Joint Director (P) (Admn), Government of West Bengal, who provided valuable insights on effective pedagogical practices, competency focused education and innovative teaching strategies on Day 1 and Day 2, respectively.
Adding to the expertise, Dr. Paramjeet Kaur, Principal of Sarla Birla Public School, Ranchi, also joined as a Resource Person on the second day. She empowered educators by familiarizing them with the fundamental principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizing on nurturing ethical values, 21st-century skills, art integration and experiential learning. She highlighted how these principles serve as a roadmap to enhance educators' skills and equip them to meet the evolving challenges of the contemporary education system.

Ravi Prakash, Head, CoE, CBSE, Patna Region, expressed that such platforms play a crucial role in revolutionizing the education system. He stated, “ These certification courses are designed to create highly skilled educators who can effectively implement the principles of NEP 2020. By imparting quality education, we can transform young learners into self-reliant citizens, ultimately contributing to India's vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047." He further stressed the importance of conducting such courses offline to maximize their impact and effectiveness.

Day-1 of Training of Trainers Certification Course at DPS Bokaro

The Two-Day Training of Trainers (T o T) Certification Course commenced at DPS Bokaro today. This programme is being offered through a joint endeavour of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), Government of India.
The event was graced by Ravi Prakash, Head, CoE, CBSE, Patna Region and Raghwendra Kumar, Section Officer, CoE, CBSE Patna Region, along with the Resource Persons Pramod Kumar Jaiswal, Deputy Director, ISTM, Govt.of India and Dr. Subhrajyoti Ray, Joint Director (P) (Admn)Govt. of West Bengal. The session was also attended by P. Shailja Jayakumar, District Deputy Training Coordinator and Principals and Senior teachers across the Bokaro district. More than sixty educators are participating in this empowerment programme.

Dr. A. S. Ravi Prakash, Head, CoE CBSE Patna Region, emphasized the significance of such training programmes in empowering educators and trainers globally, including in the UAE, Dubai and Sharjah. He reiterated the vision of CBSE Director (Training), Manoj Kumar Srivastava, who highlighted that these sessions will build a strong network of 15000 trained Resource Persons across India. He also urged trainers to take responsibility for bringing transformational changes with innovative methodologies in teaching and learning.
Pramod Kumar Jaiswal expressed that educators play the most pivotal role in shaping a nation. He added that teachers are the architects of this new era of learning, shaping an ecosystem where education is dynamic, inclusive and future-ready to make India a developed nation by 2047.

The course aims at empowering trainers to enhance their expertise in standardizing content delivery approaches to ensure quality education. It equips trainers with the necessary skills to design and conduct training programmes in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The day 1 course commenced with an interactive session where participants shared their experiences and insights on enhancing pedagogical techniques and implementing NEP 2020 strategies, focusing on holistic development and inclusivity aligned with global education standards.

DPS Bokaro hosts Sahodaya Inter-School Basketball Tournament with great enthusiasm and zeal

The Inter-School Basketball Tournament 2025 was organised by DPS Bokaro in association with Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro on friday (10.11.2024) in the school premises. Rajeev Kumar, Indian Air Force Officer and an International Basketball Player was the Chief Guest of the event. The tournament was also graced by Soumen Chakraborty, Principal GGPS Sector-V and Vice President, Sahodaya School Complex, Biswajit Patra, Principal ARS Public School and General Secretary, Sahodaya School Complex and Father Dr. Joshi Varghese, Principal MGM Higher Secondary School, Bokaro and Sanjeev Kumar, technical head of the tournament.
The tournament was held in the U-19 Boys and Girls category. It witnessed the participation of 17 teams. Ten teams competed in the Boys’ category, while seven teams participated in the Girls’ category, showcasing an exemplary display of their talent and determination on the basketball court.

In the Girls' category, Shri Ayyappa Public School (SAPS) clinched the championship title. The teams from DPS Bokaro and GGPS-V jointly secured the second position, while MGM Higher Secondary School claimed third place. In the Boys' category, the team from MGM Higher Secondary School emerged victorious, with DPS Bokaro and Shri Ayyappa Public School sharing the second spot and GGPS-V bagging the third position. Nikhil Raj from MGM Higher Secondary School was awarded the ‘Best Player’ title in the Boys' category, while Sejal Singh from SAPS received it in the Girls' category.

Earlier, the Opening Ceremony commenced with a melodious rendition of the welcome song and school song. The participating teams, accompanied by a drum roll, presented an impressive March Past. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, students of DPS Bokaro mesmerized the audience with a captivating Zumba, Aerobics and Basketball dribbling performances. This was followed by the athletes taking the oath to play the game with true sportsman spirit, fair play and teamwork.

Sahodaya Vice President, Soumen Chakraborty proposed the welcome address while vote of thanks was delivered by the General Secretary, Biswajit Patra.

The Chief Guest Rajeev Kumar extended his best wishes to all the participating players and congratulated the winners. Dr. A.S. Gangwar, Principal DPS Bokaro and President, Sahodaya School Complex congratulated the participants. He emphasized that sports bring forth the personality of an individual wherein each player gets the opportunity to learn the limits and strive for better.
The tournament’s success was also attributed to the dedication of technical officials, including Technical Head Sanjeev Kumar, Vijay Kumar Minz, Sudhir Kumar, Nikhil Ojha, Vinod Kumar, Saurav Kumar, Kinkar Krishna, Kaushal Kumar, Amar Kumar, Manoj Dubey, Neeraj Kumar, Muddassir Khan, Kunal and Pratyush Singh.

More than 200 noted educationists attend Capacity Building Programme organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro

Nearly 200 Principals and senior educators across Jharkhand joined at DPS Bokaro on Saturday (30.11.2024) for a Capacity Building Programme centered on the recommendations of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The workshop organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro, aimed to prepare educators for the evolving demands of 21st-century education.

The workshop was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities, including R. P. Singh, Joint Secretary (Skill Education), CBSE, New Delhi, Anjali Chhabra, Joint Secretary (Academics), CBSE, New Delhi, Dr. A. S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro and President of Sahodaya Bokaro, P. S. Kalra, President of Sahodaya Ranchi and Principal of Vikas Vidyalaya, Dr. Sarita Sinha, President of Sahodaya Dhanbad and Principal of DPS Dhanbad, Soumen Chakraborty, Vice President of Sahodaya Bokaro and Principal of GGPS Bokaro, Biswajit Patra, General Secretary of Sahodaya Bokaro and Principal, ARS Public School and Suraj Sharma, District Training Coordinator of Sahodaya Bokaro and Principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. The session also included Principals, Vice Principals and senior educators from institutions across Bokaro, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Giridih, Jamshedpur and other regions.

The programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony followed by a melodious welcome song, “Swagat ki bela ma hum yee geet sunane aaye hain...” presented by DPS Bokaro students, greeted the dignitaries.

In his welcome address, DPS Bokaro Principal and President of Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Bokaro, Dr. A. S. Gangwar, highlighted the objectives and significance of the workshop. He emphasized the National Education Policy 2020 as a transformative policy designed to bring revolutionary changes to India's education system and empower teachers to contribute towards making India a developed nation.

Key discussions during the event focussed on equipping educators with strategies for inquiry-based learning, promoting lifelong learning for students and teachers and adapting to skill-oriented education models. The importance of schools in a rapidly changing world was also stressed upon.Educators shared insights on frameworks such as SAFAL (Structured Assessment for Analyzing Learning), SQAAF (School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework) and NCrF (National Credit Framework).

Highly interactive sessions and deliberations among intellectuals provided practical exposure to the workshop’s objective. Certificates were distributed to all attendees at the end of the programme.

The workshop was conducted by faculty members of DPS Bokaro, Neeraj Kumar and Suman Kumari. The day concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Biswajit Patra, General Secretary of Sahodaya Bokaro and Principal of ARS Public School.

श्री अय्यप्पा पब्लिक स्कूल में (पुरातन जी 20 हैरीटेज क्यूज) प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन
दिनांक 24.11.2023 को बोकारो के श्री अय्यप्पा पब्लिक स्कूल के प्रागंण में डा. राधाकृष्णन सहोदया स्कूल कम्प्लैक्स की ओर से भारतीय पुरातन सभ्यता संस्कृति तथा समृद्ध विभिन्न पौराणिक विषयों तथा भारत की गौरवमयी सभ्यता से परिचित कराने हेतू एक प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता (अंतर स्कूल) का आयोजन किया गया। इस प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता में बोकारो के 14 विद्यालयों ने अपना पंजीकरण कराया। विद्याथियों के साथ विद्यालय के गाइड शिक्षक भी अपने-अपने विद्यार्थियों को प्रोत्साहित करने संग साथ आये थे।
श्री अय्यप्पा पब्लिक स्कूल ने सभी आगंतुको का स्वागत भारतीय परम्परा का परिचय चिन्ह तिलक लगाकर किया।
दीप प्रज्जवलन विद्यालय के निर्देशक डा. एस. एस. महापात्रा एवं प्राचार्या श्रीमति पी. शैलजा जयकुमार ने संयुक्त रूप से किया। स्वागत गान के साथ प्रतियोगिता का शुभारंभ किया गया।
प्रतियोगिता की नियमावली दो चरणों तथा दो भागों में विभक्त थी। जूनियर ग्रुप में 9-10 कक्षा के विद्यार्थी थें और सीनियर ग्रुप में 11-12 कक्षा के विद्यार्थी थें। प्रथमचरण लिखित तथा द्वितीय चरण मौखिक था। प्रथम चरण से चयनित विद्यार्थियों को ही द्वितीय चरण में आगे के लिए भेजा गया क्योंकि आगे की प्रतियोगिता पूर्ण रूप से प्रश्नोतरी तथा समय निर्धारण पर ही आधारित थी। द्वितीय चरण मौखिक, छः चरणों में बाँटा गया था। जैसे-जैसे प्रतियोगिता आगे बढ़ी दिलचस्प होती गई। प्रश्नों का विषय साहित्य, विज्ञान, समाज शास्त्र, अंग्रेजी तथा पुरातन साहित्य से सम्बन्धित थे।
विद्यार्थी अपनी क्षमता तथा कुशलता के साथ प्रत्येक चरणों को पार करते हुए आगे के चरणों में पहुँच रहे थे। अन्तिम चरण पूर्ण रूप से निष्कासन की प्रक्रिया पर आधारित था। बच्चों का उत्साह अपनी चरम सीमा पर था। प्रतियोगिता का परिणाम इस प्रकार है-

विजेता टीम को स्मृति चिन्ह, प्रमाण पत्र, पदक से पुरस्कृत किया गया तथा सभी प्रतिभागियों को सांत्वना पुरस्कार के रूप में प्रमाण पत्र तथा स्मृति चिन्ह प्रदान किया गया।
सचिव श्री विष्वजित पात्रा ने अपने संयुक्त भाषण में इस प्रकार की प्रतियोगिता से बच्चों के बहुमुखी प्रतिभा का विकास तथा उनका ज्ञान अपनी सभ्यता और संस्कृति के प्रति बढ़ता है कहा तथा बच्चा क¨ प्र¨त्साहित किया। तथा विजेताओं क¨ बधाई दी। उन्होने श्री अय्यप्पा स्कूल के प्रबंधन समिति तथा समस्त सैप्स परिवार की सराहना की।
सौमेन चक्रवर्ती ने सभी स्कूलों के प्रतिभागी छात्रों को प्रोत्साहित किया और भाग लेने वाले स्कूलों के शिक्षकों और प्राचार्यों की भूमिका को स्वीकार किया।
