, Oct 24: The All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU) today staged a peaceful demonstration at Bokajan, reiterating their long-pending demand for inclusion of the Tai Ahom community in the Scheduled Tribes (ST) list, issuance of land pattas in Karbi Anglong district and fulfillment of other related demands.

The protest was attended by several dignitaries and leaders of ATASU from across Assam. The union members urged Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council - Kaac Chief Executive Member Dr. Tuliram Ronghang to take prompt action on their demands.

ATASU leaders emphasized that the government’s response to these issues will be crucial for ensuring justice and recognition for the Tai Ahom community.
