🇮🇳 Independence Day Celebration at Shri Vidya English Medium School 🇮🇳

With hearts filled with patriotism, gratitude and pride, we celebrated the 80th Independence Day at Shri Vidya English Medium School*.

The presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Vijaya Devangan Ji, made the occasion truly special. Our talented students added colour and joy to the celebration through their beautiful patriotic songs, dances, speeches and cultural performances.

A heartfelt appreciation to our students, teachers and everyone who contributed to making this celebration meaningful and memorable.

Let us always cherish the freedom we have received and fulfil our responsibilities towards our beloved nation.

🌿 Celebrating Our Roots | Indigenous Day 🌿

Shri Vidya English Medium School celebrated Indigenous Day with great enthusiasm, embracing the rich traditions, art, culture and knowledge of indigenous communities.

Our students brought the celebration alive through thought-provoking speeches, a vibrant Tarpa dance and a display of traditional instruments. The creative spirit continued with Warli painting on pots and wall hangings, along with a hands-on clay modelling activity. 🎨🪘🌾

Adding a special touch to the celebration, our Pre-Primary students dressed up in traditional leaf-based attire, creating a beautiful representation of indigenous life and traditions.

The celebration gave our students an opportunity to learn, appreciate and respect our diverse cultural heritage while expressing their creativity and talent.

Despite nature's obstacles and the holidays declared due to heavy rainfall, our school celebrated *Ashadhi Ekadashi with great enthusiasm and devotion. Teachers gathered at the school to offer prayers to Lord Vitthal and joyfully performed the traditional Lezim* dance. At the same time, students enthusiastically participated in the online celebration by presenting cultural programmes such as *Abhanga recitation, speeches, Kirtan, devotional songs, and dances*, making the occasion spiritually vibrant.

The celebration was also an opportunity to instill patriotism among the students. On the eve of *Kargil Vijay Diwas*, teachers paid tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Students were informed about the significance and history of the Kargil War, and many of them shared their thoughts and expressed heartfelt gratitude towards our national heroes. The day beautifully blended devotion with patriotism, inspiring students with the values of faith, courage, and love for the nation.

Student Council Election

To promote democratic values and leadership qualities among students, the Student Council Election was successfully conducted in our school. Candidates contesting for the posts of Head Boy and Head Girl first registered their nomination forms and actively participated in the election process.

Today, the election was held in a fair and systematic manner. Teachers performed their duties as Presiding Officers (PROs), ensuring that the election was conducted smoothly and transparently. All students enthusiastically exercised their right to vote by casting their ballots. The activity provided students with a practical understanding of the electoral process in our country while encouraging responsible citizenship and democratic participation.

*International Yoga Day Celebration*

International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school. The program began with an introduction to the importance of yoga and its role in maintaining a healthy mind and body.

Students actively participated in the yoga session and performed various yoga asanas with discipline and grace. Moving in perfect rhythm, they demonstrated flexibility, concentration, and coordination. The synchronized performance created a peaceful and energetic atmosphere, inspiring everyone present.

Teachers and students together embraced the spirit of yoga and learned the importance of incorporating it into daily life. The celebration served as a reminder that yoga is not just a form of exercise but a way of achieving physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The event concluded with a message encouraging all students to practice yoga regularly and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

A wonderful and enriching workshop titled “Empowered Classroom” was thoughtfully designed and conducted by our respected Principal, Smt. Geeta A. Patil, with the objective of transforming teachers into inspiring and impactful educators.

The workshop focused on refreshing the minds of teachers through fun yet challenging activities. It created a positive learning environment where participants could relax, think creatively, and actively engage in the process of learning. Few techniques having scientific base were also introduced during the session.

To strengthen teamwork and collaboration, teachers were given an exciting task—decoding clues from given words, developing a story, and enacting it creatively. This activity truly reflected the essence of learning by doing making the session lively, interactive, and meaningful.

The participants were divided into groups— Sun, Star, and Moon which added a spirit of healthy competition and enthusiasm throughout the workshop.

Teachers from C.B. Sankhe School and other institutions enthusiastically participated in the session. At the end of the workshop, all participants were awarded certificates, and the winning group was honored with mementos.

Overall, the workshop proved to be highly meaningful and inspiring, leaving every participant motivated and empowered to bring creativity and positivity into their classrooms.

मराठी राज्यभाषा दिन साजरा

मराठी दिनानिमित्त आमच्या श्री विद्या इंग्लिश मीडियम स्कूलमध्ये मराठी राज्यभाषा दिन मोठ्या उत्साहात आणि अभिमानाने साजरा करण्यात आला. मराठी भाषा आणि संस्कृतीच्या समृद्ध वारसा जोपासून व सन्मान करण्यासाठी हा कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आला होता.
विद्यार्थ्यांनी या उत्सवात उत्स्फूर्त सहभाग घेतला. त्यांनी मराठी दिनाचे महत्त्व आणि महान मराठी व्यक्तिमत्त्वांचे योगदान यावर सुंदर भाषणे सादर केली. विष्णु वामन शिरवाडकर (कुसुमाग्रज) यांच्या जयंतीनिमित्त मराठी राज्यभाषा दिन साजरा केला जातो, याविषयीही विद्यार्थ्यांनी माहिती दिली.
कार्यक्रमामध्ये सुरेल मराठी गीते, अर्थपूर्ण कविता, जोशपूर्ण पोवाडा आणि देखणे पारंपरिक नृत्य सादर करण्यात आले.
यासोबतच एक माहितीपूर्ण उपक्रमही घेण्यात आला, ज्यामध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांनी मराठीतील विविध विरामचिन्हे आणि त्यांचा योग्य वापर समजावून सांगितला.
या संपूर्ण कार्यक्रमामुळे शाळेत संस्कृतीचे आणि मातृभाषेप्रती आदराचे उत्साहपूर्ण वातावरण निर्माण झाले. हा दिवस सर्वांसाठी खरोखरच संस्मरणीय आणि प्रेरणादायी ठरला.
